Going with Mississippi +2 (bought the hook) over Memphis. Closely contested game but have to give the edge to Mississippi as they are by far the better defensive team. The Rebels have won their last 5 games in a row and even though Memphis is a tough place to play,I just dont see this as one of Memphis's stronger teams this year. I am also looking at the line on this game and it opened up with Memphis as a 3 point favorite and has dropped to 1 1/2 as I type this.
Ill be giving out a few rebel yells tonight as this game is on ESPN2...Rebels plus the bucket.
Also like Providence -4 over Richmond. A tired Richmond team traveling from the west coast (Stanford Tournament) now takes on a well rested Friar team. Providence lost their last game to Rhode Island after going cold in the second half of that game and only shooting 37%. I look for them to make amends tonight as they face a tired Richmond team that has lost three out of their last 4 road games. The Friars -4.
