Two Teams Not Getting Respect...

...but I feel will finally get some after their respective games, today.

1) Oklahoma State Cowboys

What more do the Cowboys have to do to prove they belong? Ever since a blowout loss at Texas back in February, this team has been on an ATS tear, going 10-1 over their last 11 games! Those type of streaks do not happen unless a team is playing unbelievably well and it's also not a streak I'd like to bet against. The Cowboys have come together just at the right time under the outstanding tutelage of head coach Travis Ford. This team is gritty. They will fight and scrap, and come at you in waves offensively. If they come out firing on all cylinders, like I expect them to do, Pitt could have some problems.

2) Siena Saints

I'll just repeat what I said earlier, what more do the Saints have to do to prove they belong? This team is also playing great right now, riding a 4-0 ATS streak coming into today's game. Let's face it, the committee did this team absolutely no favors by pairing them up in the first round vs. Ohio State in the Buckeyes backyard. Yet, they passed that test with flying colors by producing a classic come from behind victory in double OT. This game against Louisville will finally be a true neutral court game for the Siena and I expect them to benefit. The Saints are solid and very well-coached. I simply cannot underestimate the extra wave of positive emotion they should be riding here.

In short, both these teams seem very worthy of support today as a near DD dog and DD dog, respectively. I believe they both have a good chance for the upset, too. Personally, I'm playing both these teams today in about every way possible (1H, 1H ML, Game, Game ML and two small parlays). Hoping for a VERY big day! We shall see...

Good Luck to All,

Houston, Texas
I wuldnt call Dayton a neutral site - its only 120 miles from Louisville (80 miles from Ohio State). The crowd will be very pro-Lousiville

Good point, Sun. My geography failed me there. Regardless, I like the Saints.

Brutal ending to the Cowboys 1H ML play. That stupidity of not knowing it was 1 and 1, resulted in that dagger of a 3 by Fields to give me a push when I would have hauled in 225. Oh well, hit the play with the points on 1H. Like how Oklahoma State is firing away with no fear, but a few stops would be nice.

OSU held tough and refused to go away...they were right there at the end. Don't let the 8 point win fool you, it was not indicative of how close this game really was. Pitt's stars stepped up in the end, I give them credit. However, this game could have swung one way or another in the closing minutes. Cashed on 2 of the 4 bets (1H +5; Game +9.5) I made on the Cowboys for a nice profit. Damn, that 1H ML push was a killer, or that game would have been very profitable. Oklahoma State finishes the season on an 11-1 ATS run. Wish I had been on them for all of those. Pretty impressive, though.

On to Siena, expecting a flourish out of the Saints early, much like we got with Oklahoma State.

Good Luck to All,

Well, I missed 1H ML and got hooked on the 1H +6.5. From being down 14, I'm holding hope for another Siena comeback in the 2H. They won't lay down like some other teams I've seen this weekend after getting down big (ahem...). Think I'll add some to Siena in the 2H. Why not?

OK, will keep replying to myself. Pretty nice day, but feeling kinda pissed still. Because that break away layup in the Lou-Siena game killed (pushed) yet another big half (2H, this time) ML play and then Hansbrouk misses the bunny at the buzzer to cost me another 390. Louisville fuker should have pulled it back out! Anway, hard to believe the ending went down that way! My angst right now is getting in the way of my overall winnings for the day. I think I had these two dogs pegged in many ways and didn't hit as big a payday as deserved. Oh well, hope all the rest of you MJ'ers had a nice day. One of the banes of wagering on sports...it could have always been better! I know I'm being stupid and greedy, but really feel raped by both the OK State 1H ML and the Siena 2H ML.

Nice call, you were all over two very deserving dogs. That's pretty amazing in an almost all chalk tournament.

Thanks for the reply SportsPredictor. It was indeed a very lean first couple rounds for the dogs! The bookies nightmare that boundbook spoke of, sort of continued through today. Not typical and tough for dog players like myself. Don't mess alot with totals, but understand overs were ruling, too. Not good for anti-public. There are lots of sharper 'cappers on here than myself and hard to believe they had a great go of it since the tourney started Thursday. Perhaps I should feel fortunate with the + balance today!

Roll with the punches

Roll with the punches

Yeah, I know how you feel JCS. Remember, it's all part of the game. I felt the same way taking Utah St. the other day, a team I loved as a dog. Went out on a limb on a parlay with them and also a single play. Went for the odds and took the money line.

They easily covered the line, but just missed winning. You know, " a dagger to the heart". Both plays killed by a pretty good pick.

Keep picking them like you do and you'll recoup.
