Rangers starter: LHP Matt Harrison (5-4, 3.26 ERA) is the "hopeful" starter, providing he has no further complications from a kidney stone that caused him pain Friday and Saturday, but has since relented. It wasn't the stone, however, that forced him to miss his last start at Cleveland on Thursday. Harrison was still nursing a blister that forced him out of his May 28 start vs. Kansas City after six scoreless innings. He currently holds a streak of 16.1 consecutive scoreless innings.

Texas manager Ron Washington wants to make sure his All-Star shortstop doesn't wear down. Andres Blanco will start at short in his place. As for the rest of the lineup vs. Detroit right-hander Rick Porcello, here it is along with their career numbers vs. Porcello.
