a little nervous today as i see several games that look inviting, including a couple of potential two unit plays. had a nice night monday and look to keep it going. here's what i'm looking at now - tell me what you think:

ark lr -3: first potential two unit play se mo in a complete rebuilding year losing four starters to graduation and another preseason starter is suspended. they don't really look ready to compete at this stage of the season. ark lr a clearly superior team with more talent and depth.

bradley +7-: the other two unit candidate. a little nervous here as i rate bradley the better team at this point. uab has struggled at 1-3 so far and bartow has announced he will shake up the starting lineup tonight with two positions up for grabs. blazers don't appear ready to lay a lot of points to a team like bradley.

butler +3: like butler but so do a lot of people. don't like playing against purdue at home.

loy-chi +10: can't for the life of me figure this line. i rate these teams fairly even.

FWIW, really like the Bradley play. It looks like they have a solid nucleus there with freshman Granger contributing some outstanding offense and defensive play. Look for them to keep this game close and possibly win outright. Good luck!

going with the plays as posted. adding one total:

ncs/osu over 135: both these teams rely on guard-oriented offenses and will pick their spots to go up tempo. buckeyes have put up plenty of points against two patsies and have shot over 50% in both games. nc state has averaged over 70 ppg, even if your disregard the 95 they put up against prairie view. state has shot over 50% for the season including the 35% they shot against the tight citadel zone last game. makes sense that scoring against the zone has been given some focus in practice. wolfpack has some decent defensive numbers, but one thing the teams state has faced have in common is average d and no scoring threats. this game may have deliberate stretches but all told should see enough action for the loser to get near 70.

i would concur that this game will probably follow the norm and be lower scoring in the first half. as i expect a game of streaks alternated with periods of deliberate play, i feel better about my chances over forty minutes.
