Two more winners on Thursday as Cincy and Wyoming cash in with the Cowboys getting the outright win!!!!

YTD Bowls: 5-0

UAB/Hawaii OVER 75

*Points WILL be put up in this one as both defenses will give it up! Expect Chang to go out on a big note with a big "statistical" day!*

GL!! I do have a strong opinion on UAB +4, but think the OVER is the best play in this matchup.

GL to you tomorrow RS. Like the over play also, but going the other way on the side. Played hawaii at home all year and I see no reason why after beating mich st. and Northwestern that they won't continue this streak IMO. All the best with your plays though! Nice start to the bowl season for you!

Thanks Bomber....I just feel if Hawaii was the play the spread would be bigger here. I mean it looks way too easy laying just a field goal at home in Changs last game after beating two Big 10 teams. I see UAB keeping up here and possibly getting a shot to win it in the end.....GL to you!!!

Valid points RS and I agree that UAB will keep it pretty tight with an offense that can score at will much alike the warriors. Should be a fun game to watch with all that offense! I have the line at 3 (bought it when the lines first came out) and the extra point may come in handy before it's all said and done. Playing the over small aswell.

Great start to the bowls, RS! Couldn't be any better, in fact.

Allow me to say a few words on this game....love, love, love UAB here. Unless you expect Hawaii to score on every possession, I just can't see how they win this game. This Blazer O will absolutely have their way with one of the worst D's in the nation. On the other hand, this UAB D does have the ability to make a few stops and that will be the difference.

As tough as it is to go against Chang and Co. on the island, IMO it is the only way to go. I had Hawaii when they played Mich St. and to say Hawaii wasn't gifted a few calls for the win would be pretending to be a blind man. The Hawaii
Bowl representatives absolutely wanted and NEEDED the Rainbow Warriors in this game and the refs did everything in their power to alllow this matchup to happen. Once the stands are filled and the bowl reps are satiated financially, I'm just not so sure that things won't be different. I feel strongly that this game will be called fairly with no bias toward the "home" team." After all, it is all about the money, ya know? Noone really stands to gain from an unscrupulous officiating crew here.

So....take out the "island factor" and the "tiredness factor' from problems associated with teams traveling to the island over a weekend during the regular season, and now all of a sudden those intagibles that have gotten this mediocre, at best, Hawaii team a bowl bid are all but gone. IMHO, without those intagibles, this team is not capable of beating ANY decent team and they will be exposed tomorrow. Sure, as always, I could be dead wrong, but it is an opinion that I am willing to wager heavily upon.

UAB + whatever (you won't need 'em) & UAB +140 (you will thank the 'books for giving you 1.4 times your money wagered)

Good Luck to All,

-JC

I hope all you guys are wrong. I found out on this last game that its hard to be perfect on your picks as I am 4-1 due to the lack of scoring by UCLA and they didn't make the OVER. But will bounce back and go against you guys to pick Hawaii. Yes on paper and IF Hawaii played UAB on neutral site, UAb MAY pull off the win. However, at home, Hawaii is a force to rekon with. Like you said its all the intangibles of Hawaii that makes it hard to get a win here. UAB is trying the method of work hard party hard, as the coach wants 3 hours of practice and then gives UAB time to do whatever they want. And I'll tell you, it ain't related to football that's for sure. So, if you wanna change your bets, be my guest, but don't say I didn't warn you. Hawaii's defense has been playing hurt all season, and now they are mostly recovered. I may be wrong and my heart may be blurring my vision on this game, but I hope for my sake I'm right. If not I'll be with no earnings for this bowl season as I'm putting most of it on the line.

GL Soljah67....good info on your reasoning for Hawaii, but there are many bowl games left with IMO better value than Hawaii today. Just wanted to say don't go too crazy with it....just responding to your last comment of how you said you'd be with no earnings because most of it will be on the line today. Just be cautios bro!! If you like Hawaii that much today, it's all good, but there are just many better matches coming up to unload on! Have great Christmas Eve!!

JC...your comments were great also. Hope we bring the plays home.

haha yeah I know, my emotions may be blurring my vision on this one, its just something I gotta do. I dunno I just gotta do it, its Timmy and Chad's last game, they gotta perform. As well as others. Thanks for the warning, I know theres better games out there, Oregon State is the top of my list (but I also went to Oregon State so my vision may be blurred in that one too). I dunno we'll see about that game, but as for Hawaii, its too late I put down most of my load, saved a little though, but don't worry I'll be fine...
