Marshall's primary goal coming into this season was to play in a BCS game. The loss to Virginia Tech put an end to those dreams. Marshall no longer finds itself in the top 25. The Thundering Herd can run the table from here on out, and they still won't be invited to a BCS game, due to their affiliation with the MAC. Just ask BYU if you don't believe me. Anything less than playing in a BCS game will be a letdown for the Marshall program this year. What about winning the MAC, you might be asking yourself. That is nothing new to Marshall. The Herd have won 4 straight MAC titles. On the other hand, UCF will be playing its first conference game tonight. The Knights should bring a lot of emotion and energy into this game, especially when you consider they have been idle for 13 days. I expect Marshall to be somewhat hungover from the Virginia Tech loss in the first half, thus the play on UCF +6. In the end, Marshall might find a way to escape with the victory, but I don't think they will cover this high number. In fact, I think UCF will be leading at halftime, and I wouldn't be shocked if the Knights pull the upset. Hopefully, both lines will increase before kickoff. I'm going to wait before I put in each play.
