Kick, I love the Maia play and will be on him big as well. He proved what he can do vs wrestlers when he fought Sonnen. His big thing is that he doesn't want to to get hit too hard but with Munoz that won't be a problem.

Maia is too SLICK on the ground for Munoz.

"the bunker"
some props up at 5 dimes....might as well get the ball rolling...

-being that i have dos santos as kicker in a few pars,i`m gonna hedge with small "carwin wins in rd 1 at +355" and "carwin itd at +175"....just in case carwin drops the straight right hand while dos santos is throwing that uppercut from way outside...carwin takes dos santos down and humps his way to a decision and it turns into a clusterfuck for me...

-also liked florian itd at +174.....he may be emaciated at 145...who knows?.....nunes is like a poor man`s aldo with all the crazy kicks and attacks so i`m thinking that florian may try and get this to the ground and finish with g&p or a sub...he`s finished 13 out of 14 so far....one thing i noticed was that nunes has 11 stoppages in 16 wins...but none came since he started fighting in the wec/ufc(5 straight decisions)...if florian makes the cut successfully,he`ll have a 4 inch height advantage and a very large reach advantage....and i doubt he wants to try and grind out a tough decision vs a whirling dervish like nunes who brings it for 3 rounds....

but,if florian comes in looking like james irvin at middleweight?......rollin` the dice(thankfully) at + odds..

-maybe a 3-way par with carwin-dos santos won`t go 3/herman-einemo won`t go 3/cerrone straight at .75 to win 1...herman finishes...sets a tough pace...and gassed in his only legit loss...einemo used to be an elite grappler(has a win over roger gracie, which is a big deal)...coming off a long layoff but finished in all 6 wins....herman`s finished 19 out of 20 opponents...

-grabbed some maia at even money...in what appears to be a true toss-up...

-grabbed a small weidman-220/poirer-325 par at roughly even money early on...weidman`s gone throught the roof...don`t like that....

-the more i look at this, the more i want to take a whack at darren elkins at +200...his losses are to oliveira(who looked like a decent fighter) and a 170 pounder ..... his win over pat curran is impressive to me...

i`m aware of omigawa`s recent success in japan(some split decisions vs tough opponents)..he`s a tough guy...but sometimes japanese fighters that look great in japan just don`t do well here...culture shock?...who knows...

-elkins+200.....very small..wee may be right and omigawa may very well be just too experienced...

*small props for fun......

- stout/edwards fotn at a pathetic +350......not exactly a generous line, but it looks like it could be a 3 round stand-up battle that should be extremely fan friendly....

-herman ko of the night at +850(i doubt that herman wants to see the canvas vs einemo...very dangerous knees and kicks)...

-munoz k.o. of he night at +1100(much higher than i anticipated...just throwing it in for the value due to munoz` penchant for pulling his ass out of bad situations with a big shot)

-dos santos k.o. of the night at +350(figuring that if carwin stops dos santos,he`ll hurt him and then pound him out....but i wouldn`t blame anyone for taking carwin at +650...that uppercut that cigano throws from way outside is gonna get countered at some point...and carwin`s straight right hand fits the bill)......

considering edwards via decision at +325(another shaded line..they`re smart)...

flailing around here, but these are fun without footing too large a stake....

g.l....

My 2 bets for this card so far are

JOE to beat Herman at +180.

Maia to beat Munoz at +100.

Herman tends to gas sometimes and beats a lot of people down with his size. JOE is a big lad who should give Herman trouble on the ground.

I just think Maia would eat most wrestlers up as they put him were he wants to be.

I can't pick UFC fights to save myself so... Fade away!!! :mj07:

I've already played Maia but not sure what else I'll be on. I would like to take JDS but I just can't take a chance on a favorite like that when I don't know if he'll be able to stay off of his back.

Updated record 46-35-2 +33.89 units

opinions 17-17+3.25 (always .5 unit plays)

This will be my first posted play since my Shogun destruction. Feeling gun shy but I'm up 8 units in the NBA finals so not much to worry about.

JDS -165 3units
Maia -110 1unit

Big play on JDS for this but I'm feeling pretty confident. I know Carwin has lost a lot of weight but I don't think that's going to change his cardio much. We know JDS can go the 3 rounds with no problem. I would feel a lot better if this was 5 but I'll take it. I think at some point JDS catches Carwin with a big punch and takes him out. I really want to see Carwin take him down so we can see Junior's ground game.

not sure if it will help him,but massenzio went from an angular 185 to a fairly thick and muscular 201.....this guy looks good and then ends up losing fights he looked like he was winning(stann/dolloway)....

My final and BIGGEST bet on this card is Omigawa at -215.

I have not been really impressed with Elkins and I think Omigawa is a beast at this weight.

Mendes is 10 times the fighter Elkins is and Omigawa gave him a good fight.

Omigawa with an inverted arm bar from his guard when Elkins try's to do the can opener.
