god I hope JDS knocks frank mir into retirement. what an arrogant dumbass. He thinks JDS has no ground game at all and that he's going to submit JDS as soon as the fight goes to the ground.

HEY DUMBASS, JDS started his career in BJJ. Just because he got submitted 5 years ago, doesn't mean shit LOL

I know it's -550 but I think JDS is still a good play at that. I don't see how Mir can get out of the first round. If the big wrestlers can't get close to bringing JDS down then neither can Mir.

Bert, not saying you're wrong but I can't see how it goes to the ground. If it does go to the ground how the heck does Mir keep him there. NOBODY has been able to get or keep JDS down. I would love to see Mir get him down because I want to see what JDS does when he's down there and I wouldn't mind seeing Mir win just because I would rather see an exciting fight rather than a quick KO.

layinwood, if you want to mess around with crazy odds on a fave.....take Edson Barboza. Problem solved.

JDS is "my boy" but I wouldn't touch him at those odds:scared

yeah I don't know how Frank could get him down
maybe if he gets off balance after a punch
Frank has looked really good lately
Odds seem a bit crazy to me

Mir took big Nog down and submitted him. He can use the same technique against JDS. He gets knocked down and out and then JDS throws another punch and it wakes up Mir. Now Mir is close enuf to grab something like he did against big Nog.

and the one key factor that everyone always seems to forget because JDS is just that much better then everyone else? HIS BASE IS BJJ!!! That's how he originally got into MMA lol

Frank saw him get submitted 5 years ago in a fight, and is sold that JDS is like a turtle on his back.

I see Frank trying to bate JDS into a ground fight, only to get KO'd. I don't see this fight getting out of the 1st round at all.

This card has one of the biggest mis-matches I have seen in quite some time in Varner/Barboza. It has two of the biggest "must wins" I can remember. Miller and Hardy absolutely have to win their fights. You could also say the same thing for Nelson. But Miller and Hardy are on another planet compared to Nelson and his fight win. In fact you could even add Mike Brown to the "must win" list. My oh my has he fallen.

Very compelling card:scared

Oh and let us not forget that we have a bunch of fights that could end very quick:scared

What a card:scared

i like a lot of these fights on this card. Going against Struve with Lavar. Lavar is a stiff on the ground but i think he just goes in and out powers Struve just like he did with Barry. Also like the Champ. Like others i doen't see how Mir could win. The Barbosa fight i won't touch with a ten foot pole. Varner is a tough guy and i haven't really seen Barboza fight a wrestler yet. The thing i hate the most about it is that i have to believe there are tons of Parlays out there with JDS and Barbosa. I thought Pearson could have gotten decision against Barbosa. If this goes to a decision i could see a shady decision going to Varner just to bust up all those parlys. Lets face it Barboza goes to decisions a lot. This has the Facebook IPO written all over it :142smilie. Also like Del Rosario. This kid is a nice fighter and Miocic hasn't really impressed me at all. Beltran gave him all he could handle but was it UFC jitters? That is what im a little worried about. Dollaway just looks to big for Miller but Dollaway fight IQ is about as low as it gets. Also want to look a little more with this Sass kid. He looks huge compared to that jackass Volkmam. Also like Hardy small. I not into betting these guys in must win situations like KIck. There is a reason these guys are in must wins and it isn't because they are great fighters. Kick thinks they somehow get better when it is a must win :mj07: . Also like to fade KIngsbury but i don't know much about his opponent. The press clippings look pretty impressive. Also like Cain but 4 to 1 is to steep. Cains problems are with boxers. Big foots hands are suspect. After this fight Cain shoots right back to the top of the ladder.

some very interesting fights and matchups. not sure anyone is a lock other then JDS. I could see the other HW underdogs winning. However, they'll have to avoid their opponents strength to do so.
