i wish this wasn`t in brazil because i`d love to put a wager on mendes.....that alpha male crew seem to be rolling.....and mendes has the fast twitch muscles of an elite black athlete... a few of aldo`s fights were difficult(i`m thinking of the end of his fight vs hominick in particular)....

the odds tell you how much respect the books are giving mendes....

/off topic...in bellator tonight theres a Brazilian jits guy named davi ramos fighting tough guy david rickels.....the odds are dropping and it might be because this 155 pounder beat and injured jeff monsoon in a jits match(monson is a heavyweight and a solid grappler)......

not sure whether this translates to mma vs a tall,experienced striker like rickels,but it was an interesting watch....

Wilson Reis -190 over Scott Jorgensen. Is it just me or is Jorgy getting a little less flashy? Missing weight usually points to something personal, a bad camp, etc. Like Reis here to win two units

Glover Teixiera -350 over Phil Davis. Never been a fan of Phil Davis's striking for obvious reasons, but Teixiera's TDD def is pretty great. Also, Davis hasn't ever really been hurt, so I like this to go to a decision as well. Laying lots of chalk - hope it doesn't bite me in the butt Glover to win one unit, fight goes to a decision to win two units.

Darren Elkins -200 over Lucas Martins. Elkins is just getting better and better, gritty veteran with great wrestling. Will need to watch out for Martins on the ground, but I think the American gets it done here and I'll bet him to win three units.

FWIW, Maldonado vs Stringer looks so tempting to bet either side, but can you trust Maldy after that ugly performance vs Stipe? That just looks like his chin is gone and while Stringer's striking is nowhere near Miocic, he does possess great Muay Thai and will come from different angles if he can work the distance. If Maldy goes all dirty boxing on him, Stringer has no chance.

Haven't heard if Bang Ludwig is in Mendes' corner tonight, of if he's been working with Mendes, but that'd be nice to see Aldo lose. I enjoy watching him, but he's not an exciting champion IMO.

looked like they were saying that you could see the burns and camoes fights on fight pass AND fox sports(in their pre-fight coverage show).....
