Saw just part of a special on the UFC and it looks like it is here to stay. they are starting to make some real money and said the fan base is second only to the NFL.

I might go with Couture as well. I don't think he'll win but those odds are getting a lot higher than I thought they would be. Randy does have a chance. I think it's a lay and pray chance but I doubt he gets knocked out or sub'd.

Franklin-If the odds on this are under 500 then I'll be using him as a key for a few parlays. He'll finish MacDonald in the first without a doubt in my mind. It's a couple weeks away so I'll wait before I start getting excited.

PS We have Pride LV coming up this weekend.

Is Coulture (a world class wrestler) gonna stand toe to toe with him or has he finally learned his lesson? Will he use his strenght's or be a knucklehead again and try to be a world class boxer which he isn't even close to being?

GW, lines are big. Might take a small shot at Silva and parlay with Rua and one other(not who yet but I'll have Rua in at least one parlay)

I'm only in for parlays this time out. Lines are way too high for me. Not saying they shouldn't be but there's no way I'll put down those odds on any of these fights. But it will be parlay central for me. I may just have one big one with Hughes and Ace.

Ok, here's some to start with.

Frankin -403 1unit(jeez it gives me the creeps taking something this high but I love Ace here)

Parlay
Fraklin -403
Hughes -565 1unit

Hamill -310
Sobral -397 1unit

I really think Silvia will win the fight but the line is creeping up high enough that it might be worth a small small play on Randy. I just can't see how Randy can win though, but being the fighter he is it might be worth it.

1837, I'll be interested to see the Holman Hamill fight. I think it could be a very boring fight but I can't see anyone being able to handle Hamill's wrestling ability. At 205 this kid is a beast. I've never seen Holman so I'm interested to see what he can do.

i don`t know much about holman...just that he`s a wrestler and he`s old.......

but, hammill`s not ready to take on really solid mma guys...he could barely stand-up at the end of the last fight i saw him in....

he looked almost helpless late....

my gut is that they`re gonna take it easy on hammill for awhile....even given that thought, sight unseen,i might put 1/4 unit on holman....

just for fun....

i don`t see babalu losing....of course at -400+,that`s not exactly a revelation...he doesn`t lose to anything except the top dogs....

g.l. guys....i think i`ll spectate....

Not betting Holman and not saying he is going to win. I haven't seen him personally. However, I have heard from some very reliable people Holman is the better wrestler in this fight. If Hamil can't outwrestle you, then I think Hamil could lose.

Holman is not even close to being the better wrestler in this fight. He got 3rd and 4th freestyle at the olympic TRIALS. Was the Big Ten and Pac Ten champ for Ohio St and Ariz St. Hamill was a 3 time national champion in college and 2 time freestyle world champion.

Hamill is a good bit ahead of Holman in wrestling and both of these guys are in the same boat as far as MMA goes, they're just learning the game and have a great foundation.

This is definitely a feeder fight for Hamill. Here is someone that is just like you but not as good, so win the fight.

I know it's not a wrestling match per say but in all reality it is and Hamill should be able to either lay and pray or ground and pound all day.

Why i like Holman:
First: Great odds
Second:Better wrestler than Hamill and much stronger(YUP!)
Third: Fighting in front of his home crowd

Can you smell upset? :SIB Sure he can lose but at +300 on an even fight (in my eyes)... I will take the dog anytime!!! :)

MayorgaFan, my apologies. I must admit that I'm embarassed, the writes I read never mentioned that his world championships where for the world
deaf wrestling. Well my bet is in so I'll have to keep it. Good thing it's in a parlay and not st8 up.
