Sorry bro, but GSP disgusts me. I think he's so overrated and overhyped.

I also hate Matt Hughes, so I don't care who wins.

MY BOY is fighting, and he's gonna kick Liddell's ass.

FEAR THE AXE MURDERER WANDERLEI!!

Hey man, I'm sure there are fighters out there that just rub you the wrong way. I can't explain it, it's just something about the guy I can't stand.

Maybe it's the love fest for him.

Don't get me wrong, he's a good fighter. I just don't think he's as good as people build him to be.

I dont understand the point in this. Hughes is in line for a title shot, why is he taking this fight? If he loses, does GSP get the title shot instead?

Whether you think Serra is a fluke or not, he won fair and square and has the right to defend his title. Hughes should have to win the title then defend it vs GSP in a mega fight.

Was there an explanation behind this?

btw, GSP is a world class fighter and world class human being. Hes done many interviews and cameos in Canada and theres nothing to dislike about him. He held a seminar at a local MMA club in Toronto, I wasnt there but heard rave reviews about his seminar and his character. Id love to meet him.

Night Janitor, I would say the explanation behind it is that this is usually a big show for the end of the year and they needed to make sure they had good numbers for it. What better way than GSP and Hughes.

What I don't think is fair is that Dana stated the winner of the Liddell Axe fight will get to fight Page. What the hell, he's not my favorite but didn't Forrest do what he needed in order to get a shot at Page?

No matter what it will all work out and until then we just need to be happy for getting good fights.

Everyone better hope that Liddell beats my boy Wandy because Wandy to Rampage is worse than what Rampage is to Liddell.

Just take a look at their 2 fights.

Their fight will end just like the last two. 2 brutal KO's where Rampage doesn't know what city he's in.

The deal is that the winner will be INTERIM champion. If Serra is out for more than 1 year, it becomes OFFICAL champ. The reason being for it being INTERIM is because they don't want to put the division on hold until he comes back.

Serra will get to defend his title, he's still the champ.

NJ lets look at it this way. We are getting a great fight. Kinda surprise GSP is taking this on short notice but im sure he has been in shape. That borefest we just witness(78) i hope we never witness again. I don't need titles to enjoy a great fight. Boxing got me to this point with all the ridiculous heavyweight champs thru the years. Belts flying everywhere. I think i would rather see this fight anyway. I do feel bad for Serra tho. the guy won hands down and instead of hearing he is the champ it is always the fluke card. Got to piss him off.

Wandy might find a different Rampage this time. More focus, better training. Maybe Wandy could win again tho so Henderson can flat line him again. Ow brutal knockout. That big left or was it the big right?

how anyone can say anything negative about a class act like GSP is beyond me:shrug:

as for over-rated....that might be the dumbest thing I have ever read on here...and I've been a member for a long long time.

I mean.....anyone who knows anything about mma would not say GSP is over-rated, I mean he's hands down the best mma fighter on the planet:com:

I've been watching MMA since UFC 1...well, I wouldn't consider that much of MMA, but you get the drift.

GSP's has 2 wins. I still think his fight vs Penn, Penn got jewed. He did no work, all he did was take him down, period.

His wins are over Hughes, and over Sherk, who's now a LW.

We can agree to disagree. You're obviously bias towards him.

Yep, and Wandy will just come in with no training. Wandy is in Rampage's mind like Rampage is in Liddells.

You got a little sensative there, u ok?

Sorry bro, if I had flowers, I'd send 'em to ya  dunno what to do!

I hear you on the pride comment. Wandy himself has said he blames himself for wanting to fight the elite fighters all the time and taking any fight they gave him. He knows that he can't fight 5-6 times a year and expect to be healthy all the time.

I think people are gonna love the new Wandy.

This sucks that I have to wait who knows how long for Hughes to shut the mouth of that little douchebag Serra. What a putz that clown is. Yeah, yeah, you beat Hughes and won the title. You would have lasted a minute, minute and a half in the re-match next month.
So Hughes can smoke GSP next month instead...:mj07:

All kidding aside, it should be a nice card overall. Will the UFC still keep giving Liddell fights after he gets KO'd in this one? Its been a great run, Chuck, but someone stick a fork in his ass and turn him over, he's done.

And it will be great seeing another pretender from PRIDE get their asses handed to them by a REAL fighter...:00hour

I think the Wandy Chuck fight will be very interesting. Chuck likes guys to come at him swinging so he can catch them with their chins out and Wandy only knows one way and that's straight ahead. There are so many unknowns in this fight that's it's impossible to predict. I love watching both fighters so it's a win win for me either way.

I can say this, my blood will be pumping when they are face to face with Big John giving them their instructions.
