already have her in several pars at -135.....although herrig has a large experience edge,I liked what I saw of van zant?..she`s a gamer?..the way she competes is in contradiction to the way she looks?she`s shockingly tough and persistent and seems to have excellent stamina?.the worry would be a quick sub?..but I`ve seen van zant in jeopardy and she doesn`t tap easily?..

herrig`s hot(particularly from the neck down)....she might even be physically stronger than van zant...but I think van zant`s aggressiveness and stamina might tip it her way....

edit...cancelling the van zant pars.....just too young and inexperienced to wager on at this point in her career as a favorite....she`s tenacious as hell but lack of stand-up and carelessness could get her in trouble.....should be a fun fight,though.....

Herrig needs to get PVZ on her back if she can then she has the ability to finish the fight. Kinda weird considering she is from a striking background but I think submissions is her strong point. PVZ I think will go on to have the better career but at this stage I think this is a close fight. Going with Herrig.

and yes she does look hot from the neck down:0074

Also Machida vs Rockhold (match up well at kicking range and clinch/grappling) and Cub vs Max could be awesome fights.
Hope Miller and Dariush engage in a ground battle as well

damn shame souza vs romero fell through...that would have been the cherry on top of an excellent card.....

possible that herrig is too strong for a young van zant...I just like the way she keeps the pressure on and doesn`t quit........agree she doesn`t want to get into bad positions on the ground here...

matter of fact,i think I`m going to off those van zant pars...the fact that she`s the fave is bugging me here......just too much inexperience......her stand-up needs serious work...and that win over kailin curran, though impressive, might not mean that much because curran is also very inexperienced....it`s tough to ask a raw girl this young to overcome all that experience with sheer tenacity...particularly as a favorite...

maybe if she were the dog...still,i think it`s a toss-up...

I will take a very small whack at hettes +155....

should be fun...

Not sure how large but I'll get down on Luke for a pretty good chunk.(unless someone on here comes up with a valid argument as to why he will lose)

I think that herrig/van zant is going to be a real barn burner.......not so much because they`re super skilled or exceptional talents...more because herrig`s marketing strategy has basically been that she`s the sexpot of women`s mma...she does very well for herself regardless of the fact that she`s more of a gatekeeper than a real threat to win any titles........and I think that she sees van zant as a real threat to her personal niche as mma hottie....sounds silly, but I think she really is getting under herrig`s skin....

I think this one`s very personal for herrig and given van zant`s surprising ferocity and doggedness,it should get nasty in there........

as I said,i had to take a small shot with hettes...I had to take the +155...I know brandao is fairly well rounded and may have a big stand-up edge...but his cardio is sketchy and hettes could catch him in something late...I know the recent bludgeonings he took from mcgregor and poirier will make this one very important for brandao...but those bludgeonings may also have taken a toll...

used sterling in some future pars when he was -280(Frankie edgar)......

my initial take was that rockhold would win this.....I really like his well-rounded style and aggressiveness(I enjoy watching his fights as much as anybody)......but that aggressiveness might put him in danger vs a counterpuncher like Machida....if for some strange reason these odds move toward rockhold(in the 2-1 range) I may have to take a flyer on Machida.....if not,i`ll just watch...

imo, this is a better card than next week`s ppv regardless of romero`s pullout....

hey thong...any opinion on matthysse/provodnikov?...that`s a serious fight....fantastic clash of styles..."won`t go the distance" is only -150.......are these guys going to beat on each other for 12?....provodnikov`s style should force matthysse to fight at a little faster, more frantic pace than he`s used to....provodnikov is durable, but he`s also easy to hit and has never been in with this caliber puncher...one guy coming straight to the other trying to maul him...the other trying to pick him off with bombs...

early fight of the year candidate...action,action,action....
