Kick we all know you don't really handicap these fights and just throw out a handful of dogs hoping some will hit but this really surprises me with the Hathaway wager. This Maguire kid is no joke and is a caggy vet. I think he beats hHathaway. Hathways claim to fame was beating a Diego Sanchez where he landed a lucky Knee in the beginning of the fight and also fought a guy in Sanchez who shouldn't have even fought the way his mind was all screwed up. There is no way Hathaway finishes Mcguire in my opinion so now you might be stuck with one of those wonderful UFC decisions.

I guess we will find out soon enough, but I think Hathaway wins easily.

Last event started off poorly with the first fight screwing up my night. Managed to salvage a little bit. On to the next card. Love the card for viewing. I think there are some great fights on here, betting wise it is a little tougher imo, but I do have a few.

Will look at the live line for the Gunnar Nelson fight after round 1. Gunnar will need to get it to the ground as Johnson should have an edge on the feet. Bush league by Johnson not making weight.

Tavares - will look at a play if he falls below -140
Manuwa - will play if he drops below -150

plays in so far:

Andy Ogle 1.5/1
Matt Wiman 1.05/1
Amir Sadollah .5/.875
Miocic 2/1
Miocic to win by KO/TKO 1.55/1
Parlay Miocic/Wiman 1/1.93

GL all. :popcorn2

adding

Nelson via submission .5/1.25

Ohio but not a Buckeye
I'd feel disrespected if my opponent didn't make weight, but that 20% to my pocket would more than make it okay for me :)

It's fighting, not football. It's not like they are lining up with 12 guys on the field repeatedly. You have confident in your abilities, I'm sure you're not too worried about a guy coming in only 7-8 pounds heavier then yourself. Now if you were fighting a guy 20-30 pounds heavier then you, then we have a different story lol

DISGUSTING

Is it really disgusting? The guy took the fight on short notice and shouldn't even be fighting after getting badly knocked out just two short months ago. Dana is usually good with something like this (safety of a fighter) but this one boggles the mind. He should not be in there fighting and the doctor who cleared him ought to be shot.

It wasn't that short notice and he was told to make 175.

And he weighed in at 183.

It is not like he took the fight on 2 days notice.

Kick the guy shouldn't be fighting. This is just the type of thing that can get the UFC in all kinds of trouble. Hopefully everything goes okay but if this kid gets hurt the UFC is gonna get blasted. How much training could he have possibly gotten in after a knockout like that? Dana must know something because this isn't like him to do something like this.

What is your reason for him not fighting?

He just got knocked out just a little bit ago against Swick. Don't you watch these cards or just wait for me to post to fight with me :mj07: Seriously he had to have gotten suspended. No?

The reason why I asked is because he was medically cleared to fight.

So if two Doctors say he is good to go. He is good to go.

Simple as that. Has nothing to do with Zuffa. If you are cleared and want to fight you fight.

Fucker missed weight by a ton, I thought maybe that is why you didn't want him to fight.

Bottom line...he was cleared to fight.

Just stumbled across this. Man less than two months ago

The Health of DaMarques Johnson

"Johnson last fought on August 4, where he suffered a brutal knockout loss to Mike Swick on live national television. And yet, here we are, under two months later, and Johnson is getting back in the cage again after taking a fight against Gunnar Nelson on short notice.

I have no idea how Johnson was cleared to train again so soon, much less take an actual fight. After the Swick fight, Johnson was suspended 45 days, with 30 of those being no-contact. He could be cleared for training and competition as long as he is given the OK by a neurologist.

So technically, I guess it's plausible that Johnson was badly concussed under two months ago and saw some sort of doctor who cleared him to return to the cage, where he'll likely get his brain rattled around one more time. But the fact that it's plausible doesn't make it right.

Johnson showed up for the weigh-ins on Friday at 183 pounds. He and Nelson both fight at welterweight, but they agreed to make this one a catchweight bout since Johnson was out of shape and taking the bout on short notice. We have no idea what the catchweight actually was?because the UFC is the commission when in England and they don't really put out this kind of information willingly?but I suspect it was the 175 pounds that Nelson made.

Johnson didn't even come close to making the weight, and he was given an hour to try and shed even more weight. And so on top of the neurological damage he suffered in August, Johnson is now trying to shed weight in ways that are extremely unhealthy for your body.

This is a guy who should not be fighting on Saturday night. Plain and simple, he should not be in the cage. He's clearly out of shape and is not ready for a fight with someone the calibre of Nelson.

The right thing to do here, and I hope the UFC does it, would be to thank Johnson for stepping up on short notice, pay both guys and give them tickets to watch from the stands, because that's a much better option than allowing Johnson to go in the cage on Saturday night."
