I'm strong on Hallman and Hughes. Also like Shamrock as a small dog, which I'm a bit surprised he is...though I'm not a big fan of his, I think Kimo is even more overrated.

Pride is also having an event on Sunday. Strong on Fedor and like Arona as a decent-sized dog.

thanks,hoops

thanks,hoops

i remeber you as being one of the guys that knew his mma stuff....

trigg seems to be a fairly arrogant fella...i`d like to see hallman turn the tables..the first bout,if i remember, had a controversial ending... ..i think hallman has "2" wins over hughes....that has to turn your head...

i like the plays....i know kimo is bigger than shamrock and shamrock is 40 yrs old....but,kimo never thrilled me either...

i keep thinking back to ortiz` domination of shamrock...that raises my eyebrows after seeing ortiz bubble burst with the 2 straight losses...

i had to lay the small wood with hughes myself....i was impressed with his opponent`s win over newton.....

but,i`ll take my shot with hughes at those odds....

i`m gonna be a sucker and take baroni in the rematch with tanner.....what can i say?...i usually hate mouthy fighters...i think baroni needs this to save some reputation...

thanks for the info....appreciated...

The first bout between Triggs/Hallman was fairly even until Trigg landed a groin-shot to end all groin-shots. Somehow, he was awarded the decision via "abandonment". He keep popping-off how he 'beat' Hallman, which is an absolute joke.

Shamrock has never been known for his cardio, but I think the only figter who might have worse is Kimo. If Ken can survive the intial outburst from Kimo, I think he'll eventually get a submission. Kimo is a BJJ blackbelt, but I don't think his ground game is good enough to compete with Shamrock if it goes to that.

Verissimo looked impressive over Newton, but Newton wasn't ready for the fight (physically and mentally) and Carlos hasn't been that impressive the past couple of years anyway. Shocked that Hughes is that short of a fave...one fight doesn't take away from the rest of his career. Plus, I'm sure we'll see a fire in his eyes this time around after losing to BJ and getting a chance to beat BJ's instructor.

Thanks. Would have been nice to get the sweep, but Hallman didn't fight the smartest of fights. Left himself wide-open and get nailed.

Hughes almost bit the dust early on that triangle choke from Verrisimo. Good thing he is an absolute freak and was able to withstand that and make a comeback.
