First off let me say this, I hope Hughes wins because I want to see him and GSP go at it again. But, I think there is a little value in Gracie.

Gracie +250 .5unit
Silva +205 .5 unit
Riggs -105 .5unit
Davis +250 .5unit

Sanchez and Horn wrapped .5 unit

This is a hard card for me. Some guys that I really like that I'm just not sure about. The main one is Swick. This is a step up for him, I hope he wins but I think Riggs will be too strong for him.

The main event should be awesome. I love watching Hughes fight. I just watched his first fight with GSP and he is absolutely unreal. Saying that, I don't think he's seen near the competition that Gracie has in his life and experience means way too much in this game. I'll bite on Gracie but I'll be rooting for Hughes. Either way I win!!!! :scared

the riggs line confuses me.....swick should have his hands full,imo....i honestly figured that riggs would open as the fave...

i don`t like horn...never did...but he has 2 wins over sonnen already....

gracie`s used to fighting much bigger guys than hughes.....is he to old?....

at +250,i see your point...

Hughes- big money (Gracie looked terrible in his last fight for k1 against a 155pound opponent who held him to a draw).

Melvin Guillard medium money (check his opponents record) also he is a multi contract fighter who should be a player now he has dropped a weight division)

Possible underdog bet Chael Sonnen (He beat Trevor Prangley far more convincingly than Horn did and Jeremy may be a bit shop worn these days also Horns two previous victories over Sonnen have maybe affected the opening line on this fight a bit)

horn has looked a bit long in the tooth...i agree...

i think hughes will win...i`m just not 3-1 sure... ....you have a guy that puts people on their backs.........vs another guy that, even though old, does his best work from his back......

styles make fights....

he`s submitted much bigger guys than hughes...

g.l....i don`t like laying big odds...

Love Hughes here. But the number (3-1) doesn't work for me, as GW stated. Think it's inflated so I ain't laying the lumber.

night of the favs again imo

big play
Riggs -110

play
Vera -223

Not betting on Hughes/Gracie fight because I'd like to see Royce win, but he'll likely lose.

I'm playing these...

Assurerio Silva +200
Mike Swick +100......Riggs is done in the UFC after the beating that "Quick" will put on him tonight.
Alessio Sakura +150

Agree 100% with kickserv about the Hughes/Gracie match. This is about the paycheck for Gracie and just another notch in the belt of the greatest fighter in UFC history, Matt Hughes. I don't think it even gets out of the 1st round, but like betting the Yankees @ -400 last night, I ain't getting anywhere near a -300 line.

Gonna watch this one at a local watering hole with a few of the local UFC guys. Tim Sylvia, Justin Eilers and Sam Hogar are supposed to be there--we shall see. Heard a rumor at the gym this morning that Jens Pulver might show up as well...

gracie is only there because of his reputation, if he wins I won't be shocked, but I expect to see rickson beat fedor before that happens.

mma is past the styles' issue. now it's the skills plus the fighter, a fact that leaves royce behind.

gotten from another site, thought you might enjoy
"Untelevised Prelims

Fight #1
Melvin Gulliard vs. Rick Davis

R1
Round one starts with The Ulitmate Fighter veteran scoring with punches and knees from the clinch. Davis was never able to mount any offense and is knocked out by an overhand right at 1:37 of the opening stanza.

Fight #2
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Fabiano Scherner

R1
The opening period was dominated by Gonazaga, who used superior wrestling to score several takedowns. Scherner sustained a cut that promted a doctors check but he was ruled healthy enough to continue.

R2
Round two starts with a heavy jab followed by a right hand that drops Scherner, forcing referee steve mazzagatti to halt the contest at :24 of the second round."

FIGHT #3: Spencer Fisher vs. Matt Wiman

-Very exciting first round of back and forth action. Wiman had Fisher's back on the ground, Fisher defended well. Back on the feet, Fisher lands a flying kick that cut open Wiman. Both guys smiled and play into the action. Was said to be a great round.

-Fisher gets the KO from flying knee to Wiman at about two minutes into round two. Wiman is OUT. Pretty similar to James Irvin's KO of Terry Martin. Crowd was very into this fight, and deservedly so as it was an all out war.

Winner: Spencer Fihser via KO (flying knee) in Round 2.

Fight #4
Jeremy Horn vs. Chael Sonnen

R1
Sonnen found an early advantage in the first round, scoring a takedown and some punches within Horn's guard. Jeremy was very active from his back throughout the period, looking for multiple submissions.

R2
After another Sonnen takedown, Horn showed more offense from his back, eventually transitioning from a armbar to a triangle, then back to the armbar for the finish at 1:17 of the second round.

Ok I am out to watch the fights. GL tonight everyone
