Anyone else trying this? I am going with 3 friends tonight. Very nice movie theater here in Columbus. The price is $20 a ticket.

I'll let you guys know what I think of it afterward. If they don't serve alcohol (which I don't think they will), that could put a damper on things. Everything is better with beer.

Its being offered here too in Pittsburgh. No way I could do that without beer, NONE. Good luck.

i get the boys night out thing...

but,do any of you have a big screen t.v. with cable/satellite capability?...get your beer,go to his house, and split the $49 fee.....

you`ll save money and have beer...

if the theater clientele resembles the teenage fanboy contingent on some of these mma forums,it could ruin the night...

enjoy,....:toast:

just a suggestion..

offered in my area, too. While the thought of watching a UFC card on a huge movie screen is appealing, the lack of alcohol makes it a non-starter for me.

A few years back there was a "brew-and-view" movie house that showed art-house and other indie movies in town, since closed.
They served beer and wine and had a homemade pizza that was quite tasty. Shame they weren't still open as I'd go there to watch a UFC card...

When GSP is on the card it doesn't matter where you watch:00hour

Movie theater would be sweet. But just like watching in the bars you'd hope they turn sound up really high. Nothing worse then not being able to hear.

As for alcohol, makes no difference to me, I don't drink. You would obviously get a younger crowd, I am sure teenagers would be allowed to watch right:shrug:

Less than 30 people showed, but I really liked this set up. Regular people (no punks) were in the theater. Had plenty of beers at the place next door before the fights started, so it worked out. I would do this again.

Weasel: I have bought plenty of cards and have split them with riends as well as buying them solo), but this was different and just as much fun. The theater experience is better than a big screen TV.
