Throwing my hat into the ring. My plays will be rated 1-5, with 5 as a top play. I look for plays that are off the beaten path; I like to bet teams with a key player not playing because of injuries/suspensions, I bet against teams who are heavily sided by cappers at several capping forums or consensus sites, and I like to bet teams who seem to be not getting enough points when they go up against a superior ballclub. Sometimes my plays are downright ugly, hense the nickname uglyplayz. Maybe the name is a bit of a rip off of Wayne Root's old nicknme, "The Don't Make Sense Kid", but at least I don't charge for my uglyplayz.
Tonight's uglyplayz:
U Mass +4 1 unit
Drake +2 1 unit
Indiana St. +1 4 units
North Carolina+7 1 unit
South Carolina +6 2 units
Central Michigan -2 3 units
Why??
U Mass has lost 7 in a row and in a battle of teams going nowhere I'll take a flier on the Minutemen over Richmond.
Evansville was a popular choice Sunday and those moving the line won with the Aces. Drake has been downright miserable on the road this year. My gut tells me to take the Bulldogs in this battle of MVC also rans.
Indiana St. has played terrible this season. Wichita St. is hot and playing their best ball of the season. I feel Wichita St. should be favored by 5 or so, why the line is so low is beyond me. Therefore, I am taking Indiana St.
Capel is doubtful for UNC, he is their go to guy. The line is starting to rise because of the injury. (Remember the injury to the star from Virginia last night and the suspensions to 2 VCU starters Monday Night.....I feel oddsmakers make too much adjustment for injuries) Aside from the big win over Duke, the Noles have been marginal at best. Take the points.
Gut play on South Carolina, they blew a big lead on Saturday. The Hogs have been tough at home all season and lets see how they respond after the LSU loss.
Central Michigan was picked by some as the conference favorite, they have pissed away the season to date. I think tonight will be their coming out party after giving the 2'nd half of Saturday's game away last Saturday.
