Watched the SF Giants play today, and Barry Bonds in pursuit of 600 HR's. So I got to thinking what MLB record is the on that will most likely stand forever. The one that I came up with is Cy Young's record of most wins (511). I really can't see anybody coming close to that one let alone breaking it. A pitcher would have to win 25 games a season for 20 years to even come close. I really think that this is one that will stand forever. Anybody think any different?

I agree I also think that nobody will ever break single season win record(pitchers) or 56 game hit streak.(JMO)

Although I'm pretty sure that nobody will break Joe D's record,Cy Young's record will never be broken. With the way today's pitching is watered down, even 300 wins will become more difficult to reach.
