UNC at Miami

Maybe I'm delusional, who knows. But this line is absolutely nuts to me. I'm a value better and just as there was value with playing VT there is very big value in getting over a TD as the dog. This line is an over reaction to last week's Carolina game. It wasn't a typical game with rain. I was there and sat through it. 9 inches of rain and 30+ mph gusts. It was utterly insane. Don't get me wrong, Carolina got beat. VT limited mistakes and took advantage of turnovers. The thing is that game was an anomaly. It's not to say that VT wouldn't have won in good weather, but that game provides little to no handicapping value to this week. That is except for the fact that the books have this line quite wrong. Miami's schedule isn't stellar and both teams have a common opponent in FSU. Carolina managed to beat the noles in a game where they could have and should have put it away and won by DD. Miami obviously played them just as tight. I just don't get the size of the line. Maybe 3 points but not 8. Anyways, pretty big play for me taking the points and will also put some on the ML with almost 3:1 odds. Both sides are pretty banged up. If hood is not back that's a big loss for the heels.

Good point I guess so. I know some guys are contrarians and go against public action. Many play a lot of games for the action. As I've gotten older I've bet less and less games.

Hope this is a winnah. Most every time it looks this easy it ends up losing :lol:

Yes their defense sucks. But their offense is potent.

Miami might be a little flat after last weeks emotional loss VS in state rival FSU.

And I totally agree that last week was a anomaly.
That weather would make Alabama look bad too.

N.Car offense can score while it's defense can not stop the run.

Mia is relevant this season. Solid Offense and Defense. Good coach too.
2nd consecutive home game .

This spread being high might be overreacting to N.Car last weeks blowout loss
but I doubt it because Miami also lost.


This line is similar to
USC-9 vs ASU and LSU -13 Vs Mo a few weeks ago.
Both lines would seem rather high for teams off Loss' vs conference opp's.
In both those games the public backed the dog and lost in blow outs.

perhaps vegas has set the trap ?.

I agree I think UNC bounces back just seen where Hood will play I know there defense can't stop a nose bleed at times but Fedora is a good coach and play caller and believe he has this offense primed and ready to roll so il bite on the points will definitely be putting them in a teaser or two already locked one of them in early with my Vols got Heels plus 14.5 and UT plus 20.5 hard to pass those numbers up imo !!!!!

Well the score indicated to me they got crushed....34-3. VT had to play in the same conditions. I just can see this being a very bad match up for NC. Miami is very good this year and has a great defense. They're probably going to come out very pissed off and focused after the BS loss to FSU. Also they got some good revenge from last years 38 point NC whooping of them. I'm totally passing this game or will maybe play Miami just my thoughts....I hope NC pulls it out for you

Was waaaaaaaaaay off on this one Salty. Boy Miami has taken a 360 degree turn for the worst. Note taken....NC has played their ass off in this game! Hopefully they can hang on here next 9 minutes....
