UK is currently listed as -18 at Pinnacle. I haven't seen UNC this year, are they really that bad? I find it hard to believe the line is this high in a tradition laced matchup like this.

Tar Heels are that BAD... 1st UNC to open a season 0-3 at HOME...EVER! Wildcats opened with disappointing loss to Western Ky, but have reeled off 4 straight wins in convincing fashion following wakeup call vs. Hilltoppers. I saw Ky open at 14.5 some places so it looks like the public likes UK, but 18 might be too steep.

I knew Unc was going to be bad early in the year and told myself, that i was going to bet against them every game until they covered. Saying that I am not sure if I can take KY at -17. Williams and Scott are starting to play better. Starting Freshmen at guards against UK is a scary thought, though. I think the emotional edge is definitely with the Tarheels after getting blown out last year, UK might take them a little lightly, based on early season preformances. Also, remember this is UNC, they do have some talented players on this team. I see about a 10-12 point win for UK. Don't think I will be playing it, either way.

One thing you have to look at on this game is Kentucky's lack of frontcourt depth. North Carolina can bring big people in in waves. i know they are not primarily scorers, but if UK's guard play is off, UNC will dominate the boards which may lead to easy transition baskets for the guards. Even freshman can make layups occasionally. I see UNC covering this game and losing under doubledigits.

Topspinner - That's what I was thinking. I know UNC has started off just absolutely horrible, BUT they are still UNC. I've seen UK have some terrible teams BUT they always managed to get up for teams like UNC. As far as motivation, I agree that UNC has the edge, and I also agree that UK's players will take the game too lightly because of UNC's performance so far this year.

And I'm a UK fan. Thanks for the info guys.
