I always thought Duke fans were the most obnoxious and they probably are, but Im watching GT and everytime GT gets near UNC they call a foul and these guys go crazy and everytime UNC hacks GT and get called they boooo big time. Is it just me cause im on GT tonight?

it is 24 fouls for tech and 8 for tarholes. unc is in 1-1 after 7.5 minutes of second half and yet have only 2 fouls called on them. ya'll come on down here to north carolina for some of our home cookin.

They're at home do you expect them to cheer when a foul is called on their team. LOL.

You always bring this stat up and it means nothing.

Do you expect a "fair" basketball game to have exactly the same number of free throws every game?

Let's get this straight. In no way am I denying the home calls we get (and got tonight).

With that said, GT was shooting so well in the 1st half (70%, 8-9 from 3) there weren't many opportunities for fouls to be called. If you watched the game, you can't honestly expect the fouls to be even. UNC pounds the ball inside while GT settled for jumpers all night.

Lowell you confirm the fact that you are a moron because I honestly think you believe FTs are supposed to be even every single game.

Actually shot 9-of-10 from 3's in first half. Hit their first 9.

I will admit I like to use stats in some cases to support what I'm saying, but I try to bring the stats into context of what the game was like.

Did Carolina get a couple extra calls at home tonight? Probably. But, yeah, Tech was shooting a lot of jumpers. UNC was going inside to Hansbrough all night, and some of those fouls took away easy layups b/c it was called on the floor and not hoop + harm.

I would contrast tonight's game with the Duke/FSU game. Duke/FSU was tight the entire game, going into OT. I think thats the game that Duke got called for one foul in the last 14 minutes, yet FSU was driving to the goal on almost every play. Does that prove that Duke was fouling? No, but it is very telling.

The difference is night and day. I do admit my bias...I can't get around it. I love the Heels. But, its not like UNC was handchecking/bumping/etc on every single possession tonight. Can't compete against that. Just ask Wake and several other teams Duke has played.
