Caba is coming off a highly impressive stoppage over Molitor. Caba can generate a lot of pop with his freakish ht and when he is on, he's tough for anybody, to say the least. The South African Mathebela hasn't fought out of SA. He was stopped once before several yrs back by Mushaba. Caba has 10 1/2 rds to get him out @ -165. I think he does it. Any thoughts?

The reason I think he does it has a lot to do with my opinion of Mashaba.

I thought Mashaba was pretty crappy in his one appearance on ESPN.

If Mathebela got iced by that guy, I think Caba can do it too. 10.5 is a long time to stay in there with this beast - especially in Panama where they love him.

That loss was 5 years ago and he has been fairly impressive since then. he drew with Malcolm Klassen at 122 and beat a guy that gave Ricky Burns a very tough go. I guess you have to figure that Caba wins at home but I have a feeling he won't look quite as invincible as he did against Molitor. Here's an interesting thing from S.A.

from badlefthook.com:

"Celestino Caballero's belts are up for grabs tonight against Jeffrey Mathebula. No, that isn't the camera playing tricks on you - Mathebula is actually as freakishly tall as Caballero. The fight takes place tonight as the grand opening of Roberto Duran Arena. Also on the card is a who's who of up and coming Panamanian talent. If you can figure out how to work a South African proxy, the fight will be streaming live on supersportzone.co.za."

a couple months back, I was able to view a stream from Panama here:

http://www.tvn-2.com/noticias/envivo_juventud/default_original.asp

but they don't have BOXEO listed for tonight

the klassen draw was a 6 rounder.....and what makes klassen all that and a bag of chips?...

boxrec having him rated #1 in the world over soto, linares and guerrero is a joke...

I'm going for it, too
I think Caballero gets him out of there after struggling a bit early
10.5 is a long ass time

I'm also throwing 20 bucks on Mathebula....he's the mandatory, so maybe he surprises....+700

I think Celestino knocks him out - midway point of the fight

Wow- nice find, thanks much, I'm winning this under with you guys. Bodog finally came out with their lines and Romi tipped me the under was 11.5 rounds- hope it doesn't come down to that. I think all we need is a nice punch high up on the head... I put the Mexican chick in small big payout parlays , the Argentinian can fight and it's right in her backyard.
