I have been reading the posts here at my Madjacks for a couple years now and would like to thank everyone for all the help they have given me. I have been looking for a good opportunity to help everyone else out and I think I have found it this weekend. I am a student at A&M and follow the team pretty close. I have not seen a posted total on this weeks game vs. VT but Im guessing it will be about 39 or 40 because I have not see too many college totals below this in the past couple years. I am going to be wagering a pretty large amount for me on the under in this game. Both of these defenses are among the best in the nation. The A&M offense is absolutely pathetic and could possibly be the worst offense I have seen in some time for a top 20 team. Both defenses will put 8 men in the box the entire game. Trust me, that will not stop Slocum from running the ball, I have seen it time and time again. I beleive VT will continue to run the ball if they are seeing 8 men in the box because they have 2 super RB's and their QB Randall will be unsettled from his first trip into a harsh atmosphere with 90,000 sceaming fans in his face. Beamer also believes that his special teams and defense will do enough for him to win the game. The only way this game goes over the total is for a combined 4 touchdowns by the defenses and special teams, which isnt out of the question but I am willing to bet against it.
As for the side in this game I think the Aggies deserve consideration fo the simple fact that they are a homedog at Kyle. I love homedogs in general but especially at a place like Kyle Field. But, I can not bring myself to bet on my Ags because this offense is just plain bad. In case some people do not know about our QB situation I will give you some insight. This week in practice RC is giving all 3 QB's (Farris, Long, McNeal) equal snaps and the one who performs better will be the starter on Saturday. He does not want anyone to know who is going to start until the Aggies first possession. Guys let me tell you something, if Mcneal(our true freshman supposedly savior of our offense) runs out on that field then Kyle Field will go crazy and if he does well then that emotion will carry over to the defense and we will be that much tougher. Evreyone has been wanting this kid to play from the beginning. I am not so sure this is the right situation to bring a true freshman Qb into for his first college start against one of the best defenses in the country. But on the other hand he cant do any worse than the other two joke QB's have done. I clearly think that VT is the better team here and I agree with another post on here that said he wouldnt take the aggies if they were getting 14 at Lane Stadium but might take them at home +3. We are a completely different team at home and the Wrecking Crew seems to always find a way to eek these games out. The money to be won on this game is on the under. I hope to update you guys on the Qb situation on Friday and I would love to hear any opinions.
