Based on the coaches poll, here are my choices:

Overrated: Illinois, Syracuse, Oklahoma St, Gonzaga (who would've thought they'd be overrated?), Miami FL, Arizona, Pittsburgh, UCLA, and Virginia

Underrated: Indiana, Stanford, Cincinnati, Butler, USC, NC State and Kent.

I definitely agree with the illini and virginia being extremely overrated and Kent and NC State as underrated but not sure why Pitt is overrated. I thought they have played extremely well over the past few weeks and had a huge win at 'cuse on sunday. Not exactly sure where they are rated but they aren't a top 5 team at this point but are good enough to be considered a top 15 or 20 team.

Maybe top 25. They probably had the weakest non-conference schedule of any major program and the coaches and writers always put too much emphasis on w/l record. But when you play these teams, you can't help but put up a ton of wins:

Morgan State, Northern Ariz, Robert Morris, Oakland (MI), Illinois State, Savanah, St Francis PA, Rhode Island, St Francis NY and Duquesne

Pitt is legit. Sure they played some cupcakes, but they have some quality wins, especially on the road which is indicative of a good basketball team...only team to win at Ohio St, won at Syracuse, at BC, won at Georgetown, lost in 2OT's at Miami Fla...this is a definite Top 20 team.

Now if Knight could hit a free throw, along with a couple of other guys on the team, they would be a very dangerous team in the tournament.

IMO is Iowa...Top ten team to start the season and now need to win there last 5 to have a chance at the post season......Look at their team log, they are 6-17 ATS and have lost the last 12 ATS....We were favored by 7 Against Minnesota...are you kidding me!!! Iowa is a bad team...

At this point, I don't think Iowa is considered good by anyone, so that's why I didn't include them. Disappointing? Absolutely. But the handwriting has been on the wall for awhile.

The edition Of Larry Hunter (x-Ohio Univ.coach) onto Sundecks staff at NC State has been a huge influence on their success this year..don't get me wrong , I think Sundeck is good too, but I played for larry and I can watch the wolfpack play and just see "Hunterisms"....:) enjoyed your thread!...crib
