Being self employed my Blue Cross Blue Shield keeps going up. Thinking about switching after this last bump will make me pay $1628 a month for 4 people with a $5000 deductible.

So for any one on here without any smart ass comments....

Do you have United Health Care and what are your thoughts?

Have a chance to switch to them with also supplemental dental and vision which I don?t have now for a lot less. But don?t want to pull the trigger yet but have to say yes or no by the 15th

Thanks in advance for the input.

Leland

Family of 4 here. Had to cancel ours. Could no longer afford the monthly premium.

I don't have an answer. Wish the best for you.

My wife & I are both self employed and going through the same problem here....We have 2 kids in college so we have to factor their summer incomes into our plans for coverage....We did speak with our accountant to see about one of our businesses paying for the insurance to at least bypass some payroll taxes out of pocket....

Best plan we've found is around $10,000 a year if we stay within the network range of providers and hospitals....the unfortunate thing is my son goes to school just outside of their coverage area so if anything were to happen he would have to be sent into the network range, how screwed up is that!

We've only found 2 plans with crazy deductibles that will allow HSA plans.....The more I look at it we should just dump our businesses and go on state aid, they make out like a bandit with better hours.....:0008

Healthcare is expensive as hell, but at least our military can buy tanks they don't need or want.

At least Obozo can give over 300 million to Soros led group so they can help illegals fight deportation and then collect benefits. Over 72 percent of households in California are getting some form of welfare . This is not the political forum but as usual the rules do not apply to you.

Same boat switched from BCBS to UHC 2 years ago and has been smooth sailing. Many of these are area dependent so your miles may vary.
