I'm sold on UNLV tonight! In fact, I'll be in Vegas during the game.

Running back Larry Croom will run wild behind the biggest and best O line in UNLV history, against a Toledo team w/o their top 2 leading tacklers the last 2 yrs, and an undersized D line.
Toldeo loses 3 WRs w/ 118 career starts. The O-Line is as good as it gets in the MAC, but its protecting a first yr soph QB.

UNLV QB Nantkes is a mature 23 yr old ex-basebal guy who led UNLV to a monster upset win against CSU last yr. Last yr he played the 4th Q against Toledo and led 2 TD drives.
WR Johnson is picked by Phil Steele to be the best in MWC.
UNLV led the MWC in O, and outscored foes by 14 pts despite a losing season.

Marc Lawerence also makes this his pre-season pick of the yr against Toledo

Suspension Update

Three players will miss tonights game for the Rebels. The lone significant loss is the teams best WR Earvin Johnson. He was preseason 1st team MWC and will be missed. The other two players are said to be non-factors. I still like UNLV to win tonight but this is clearly a negative.

The game is still off the board at most books, but I suspect we will see a line of Toledo -2 posted shortly.
