First post in a quite a while. Wading in to the pool cautiously as it’s already proven to be a volatile week on the womens side.

Ons Jabeur to win 2-0 (-150) over Elizabeth Mandlik 2.5 units

Mandlik was ranked just inside the top 500 at the start of this year and had never even hit with a top 100 player until earlier this month. Give me Jabeur to win in straight sets.

Liked Shuai Zhang to win 2-0 at -110 but odds started dropping right before the match so I stayed away. At the time of this posting it is 3-2 Zhang. Not sure why the odds were dropping but it scared me enough to hold off on making a bet.

Adding Benjamin Bonzi to win a set? No (-104) against Kyrgios for 2 units

Just think the Kyrgios serve is too good on hard court - he is winning almost 93% of his service games on hard courts in 2022. Those are John Isner-type numbers. I like his serve to keep him out of trouble and it’s a huge advantage in a tiebreaker.

This is a better number than Kyrgios to win 3-0 at FanDuel.

Kontaveit to win 2-0 against Serena (aka SB per Kick haha) Yes +120 2 units

Despite what ESPN will tell you, Serena did not play well in the first round, rather she benefited from so many break opportunities which she won’t see against Kontaveit. AK should also be able to neutralize any advantage Serena might have in her serve as she is a phenomenal returner winning 37% return games this year.

Serena has struggled against better players such as Raducanu and Bencic this summer - both top-20 players - although Emma will surely tumble after losing in the first round - losing in straight sets. I can’t see any other result tonight.
