Who would have thought that when the NHL put together this tournament that it would turn out that the final would be one of the biggest hockey games ever
Thanks to Trump the Canada/USA hockey rivalry went from a rivalry between two best friends to....well.............this
USA has never won anything in hockey when "best on best" is involved and Canada, well, always wins it all when "best on best" is involved. Now we have a USA team that is by far the best team they have ever had, and the game is a "pick em" (at time of posting). Hate to say it, but I think the USA will win, they are just too good. I mean obviously I hope I am wrong, but for the very first time in USA hockey history they might win a big game, and boy oh boy is this one hell of a big game
When you throw in the political climate between the two former best buddies (two greatest allies on Earth), in my opinion this is the 2nd biggest game in Canadian Hockey History (obvious number 1 was September 28th 1972 versus the Soviet Union) and the first or second biggest game for USA hockey.
This is the best chance for the USA to actually win something (never won a "best on best" tournament ever), so lots of pressure there (plus playing the game in Boston). And the Canucks have a ton of pressure on them because of Trump and the tariffs (99 percent of Canada hates Trump with a passion), they know they have the weight of the entire Country on their shoulders, so who knows what will happen. A huge amount of pressure on both teams, and I don't see either side cracking, thus should be one hell of a game.
If you have never watched a hockey game in your life, watch this game, it should be awesome.
And for those Madjackers that know nothing about the two teams.......quick breakdown....
Final Game: Feb 20th in Boston, Massachusetts
Current betting line....
USA to win the tournament -110
Canada to win the tournament -110
Key to Victory for USA = goaltending
Key to Victory for Canada = Forward depth and Power-play
USA is way way way way way better in net, it isn't even close. USA wins the game if the game is low scoring, Canada wins if it high scoring, it really is that simple. And for those that know hockey it almost always comes down to goaltending, and that is why I think USA wins. But of course I hope I am wrong on that.
Buckle up, it is going to be one hell of a game🤪
