OSU and UM would DESTROY these pansies from SC.

If for some crazy freak of nature SC makes it past Cal, ND and UCLA, I will mortage my house and put 10,000 dollars on OSU at my predicted -6 or -7

Craig James said it perfectly, "USC is just not that good."

Line would be at least 10. USC simply does not have the offensive firepower to match OSU. I'd still lay the 10, though.

How can USC be over-rated when they have 5 wins against top 25 ranked BCS teams?

How many wins does Michigan have against top 25 BCS teams? (hint hint, not as many as USC and USC still has ND to play)

Do you want to reward a LOSER a trip to the BCS NC game?

I feel USC is ranked where they belong at this time. If USC defeats ND and UCLA, then they will be deserving of a spot in the title game vs. Ohio St based on a strong performance against a tough schedule. Without watching more than 2 halves of Trojan football on the season, I would think this is Pete Carrol's best performance as a HC.

I'm not sure why everyone freaks out a/b the Oreg St loss. So what, USC lost 1. It happens, especially when you play 4 or 5 games vs high end competiton. This happens in the SEC annually. FLA, AUB, LSU, Tenn, usually UGA and this season Arky beat up on each other every second weekend. Then out of the blue, even the best teams let down vs. the Ole Miss, Miss St, Vandy and Bamas of the world.

I AGREE! USC must earn their way in and beat ND and UCLA. If they do that, they are in. Otherwise, they do not deserve to go.

Before the season, Pete Carroll said this is his most talented team ever as HC at USC. The defense has finally matured and reaching their potential. Looking scary good. Offense is averaging I think 31ppg.

In 2003, USC "clicked" in the BCS NC game against Oklahoma.

Its looking like USC will "click" again in the BCS NC game against Ohio St. A completely different team that what everyone saw during the regular season. Just like in 2003.

it looks to me like usc has beaten 3 teams in the bcs top 25. they have one more top 25 opponent coming up in ND. of the 3 victories they have against current top 25 bcs teams, 2 of those teams (Cal and Nebraska) have zero wins over other top 25 bcs teams. to me that makes their "quality wins" not look so good after all. they have the big victory they can hang their hat on against arkansas in the 1st game of the season although ark was without a healthy darren mcfadden (who BTW is the best rb in the country hands down)

not saying they're not a quality team, but all this talk about how they should be the team to get the shot at osu just b/c they may be able to beat an ND team this weekend that is only ranked in the top 10 b/c of who they are and not who they have beaten is ridiculous.

if florida beats fsu and convincingly beats a 1 loss arkansas team in the sec championship, they are just as deserving, if not more.

any thoughts?

We'll see about that. USC has been getting better every week. They are still a young team, but Carroll will have them ready to play. If they play either USC or Michigan and you still want to lay that 7.....I'll take you up on it

As a Tennessee fan, it hurts me to say this, but....

Florida @ Florida St; then (SEC CG) vs. Arkansas (in Atlanta)

vs.

USC vs ND; then @ UCLA (across the street)

Florida has the tougher road.... Florida has the tougher "combined" opponents.... Florida has one loss to Auburn; USC has one loss to Oregon St. :mj07:

If both win out, Florida deserves to be in the National Championship Game.... :scared :com: :scared

Finally. Someone who shares my thoughts on this, FLA is more deserving IMO as well. Just cause they have played a few shakey games in the last few doesnt mean shit, very few teams dont get a few unimpressive games every year....just ask USC.

by everybody, you mean everybody at espin and abc, right? these idiots from gameday change their mind about who should play for the championship every commercial break.

it's a joke to have herbstreit calling an osu game. what happened to the days of having an unbiased announcer? at the championship game he'll be on the sideline jumping up and down cheering w/eddie george like he did in '02. you think he won't push for the team that OSU matches up best against? i really could care less, an osu/mich game won't even be worth watching again, even with money on it.

Just seems like it should be anyone but SC according to alot of people. I just don't get it, SC beats up on the SEC every year, but every year I hear SEC, BIG ten fans claim they get screwed. Is there some sort of conspiracy against them? If those conferences are so much better than there is something really wrong going on. By the way I am not an SC fan, I just don't get the argument.

im with u bill,,sec has no argument.their ooc shcedules are crap, but can you blame em..arkansas has the balls to schedule usc and they get hammerd (hammerd is kind) if they just played north texas that week instead ,they would be in the NC game ,what a fraud that would be..we need the sec to get screwed ,actually the more that get screwed the better, more chance for a change in the system.
