They are trying to limit Memphis's touches and keep the game low scoring. That's their only chance to win. They need a game in the 50's.

Houston
Like the rest of the CUSA.
Memphis sucks!!!!!

Looks like CUSA enters just one again despite having 3+ 20 win teams.
Houston is 8-1 and they are terrible.

This is the way they play. Floyd controls things from the sidelines. To be a great team he has to find a balance and let his boys go a bit too. They're good and getting better...but they really don't look for too many easy baskets...If that changes as the year goes on...look out...these guys will be really good...even better than they are now.

Ya it's floyds offense, nothing changed for tonight vs memphis cept maybe not going for offensive rebounds as hard..... not to mention they dont have 1 pure shooter who can spread the floor. :scared

It's unfortunate for SC that they can't make free throws. Otherwise they would have won this game. Then again, even though they were up 5 at half didn't you get the sense they would find a way to pull a Butler and choke it away at the end?

WHAT? LOL

Memphis was the team who couldn't hit FT's. If Memphis hits their FT's this game wouldn't have made it to OT.

I worded that wrong. I meant to say if they could make a FT down the stretch they would have won the game.

And you're right, Memphis was horrific from the stripe. If they do their job at the line the game wouldn't have been close. USC was 19-63 from the floor and their best player was absolutely awful tonight. The fact that they were even in it is hilarious.

Forgot to add that Memphis outrebounded SC 46-37. Score made it look much closer than it actually was...

Ohio but not a Buckeye
USC made this game how they wanted. They wanted no part of the high flying and up and down game. They wanted a grind it out-sloppy game.

That is why I think you saw poor shooting from both teams.
