USC -8 over Rhode Island
URI is opening up new arena tonite.But you need to schedule a "cupcake" team not a PAC -10 power.
Barron is a solid coach.He made St Bonny a good team.This is his 2nd yr at URI.But I think there over their head tonite.
URI is small and play a 3gd offense,one foward and a frosh center. Woodward and Hellenga can score but are poor defensive players.Smith is OK.But their height is 6'0,6'3 and 6'4.An untested frosh center and there could be trouble.
USC lost 3 scorers.Clancy,Blum and Granville avg.45 pts.But don't worry.Bibby has reloaded.He has a pair of scorers in the wings in Craven and Farmer.Throw in some subs from lyr and they are talented.There are much more athletic then URI and can run.But the inside game is where the rams will have trouble.
Charrissen is the 6'11 250 pound post player.Behind him is 6'11,240 O'Neil.They are not big scorers but will play good defense and rebound.Dupree is a 6'8 and can score in the paint.
USC on the road lyr was 10-3 away but 7-0 ats.The best team money can buy on the road.USC's defensive speed will give the Rams problems.
Like the Trojans to win this by 12-15 pts.

A lean on the Canes tonite over Texas AM.Many are grabbing the 10 pts.Canes have 2 outstanding fowards in Rice and Jones.They play that pressure defense,are an outstanding FT shooting team and are playing at home.Texas AM has Bernard King and some up and coming players.
Just think the Miami pressure could unrattle the Aggies.Not playing the game.
