In the long run guys. Might save some money for us all. Right now 50/50 but V P has tie vote breaker. This might shuffle the bastards to piss and moen so much at each other. They just might forget to spend all our money. Na what's wrong with me. I been around long enough to know they all spend our money. They just look at the T V camera and lie about it. One side spins it the other side spins it back.

Neemer,

What's your opinion about the roadblocks they're setting up to pass out tickets for not wearing your seatbelt here in the Bluegrass? Of course, while they have you pulled over, possibly handcuffed (which is perfectly OK according to the Supreme Court) they may decide to search your vehicle, or maybe even just lock you up (which is OK according to the Supreme Court). And just exactly where is the 'reasonable cause' in this scenario?

What's next? Maybe they should go on a house-to-house search since there may exist a possibility that folks may be illegally receiving satellite signals, or maybe they could search our computers to make sure we don't engage in betting on the internet? Why not?

Bluegrass!
Skin......

Funny you should ask that question. Just last week, I was pulled over by a local policeman for going 44mph in a 25mph zone. Fair enuff, write me a ticket. BUT, the sorry SOB also wrote me up for not wearing my seat belt which was total bullchit! Before the Rent-A-Cop came up to my window, I unhooked my belt to get my license out of my back pocket. Keep in mind, my f-in-law and b-in-law were both in the car and testified to the cop the situation I just explained. He said that NEXT TIME I should wait till the policeman comes to the window to unbuckle my belt. The sorry MF STILL fined my ass for a seatbelt violation.

I swear on my dead dog's grave that I'll contest this chit to the highest court in the land. What kills me is this: They can fine you for not wearing a seatbelt but they can't fine you for not wearing a helmet on a motorcycle!! What kind of chit is that? I do agree that all parents should be fined for not having their children buckled up, but I'm a MF'ing adult, and I should be able to do what I damn well please!

I keep referring back to this question: What kills more adults in this country; smoking or not driving with a seatbelt? I think everyone in their right mind knows the answer to this. This might be on the agenda in the future...

Smoking in bed with a hooker is a big killer.
You are right smoking will get many more then no seat belts. In Wisky I think it's 15 bucks. Hey they use it for a good excuse to see if you had to many. Last time I was pulled over about two years back. Excuse was don't think your left signal light is working. But before he came up to the car. Over his mike he said place both hands on the wheel. Shit I thought he thought I had a gun or something. One of his first questions after we check the light that worked just fine, was. Sir have you been drinking. I said yes November 5th 1984. I said do you think there some still in me. Said to me a simple yes or no would do. I said you mean like that light that was not working. Get out here was his next nice statement.

Mo.
There was a "seatbelt check" here where I live in Mo. a while back.
If memory serves, they wrote 32 tickets.
Only 2 were for seatbelt violations.
The rest were expired tags, driving without a license, possesion of drugs, and DWI.
