***QP of KB getting SKY HIGH WAC Game of the Year***

I love WAC football, perenial losers every year.

I think that Utah St. just had its season with that win as a 28 pt dog against Fresno. Back to Reality. San Jose St. is off a bye and Coach Dick Tomey has the Spartans excited. The talent gap is huge and experience on the line favors SJ St big time, and what better team to letdown but the Aggies. Fast approaching game of the year status and who knows how much weed were going to have to smoke.:weed: I think the question is whether or not Utah St. will be able to put up their share. They've been held to a TD once and shut out 3 times so far this year. They scored a season high 21 points vs. Idaho and not much else worth mentioning. Utah St. has given up 38 points+ in 4 of 6 games so far this season and recently they gave up 41 @ Idaho. The last couple of games SJ St. has played vs. teams with weak offenses they've given up an avg. of 8.5 PPG

A couple of trends:

Spartans are 19-2 ATS in their last 21 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
Spartans are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games as a favorite.
Spartans are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.
Spartans are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a home favorite.
Spartans are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
Spartans are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.
Spartans are 17-8-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.

Keep in mind the true freshman QB for Utah State made his first start last week, and he is a huge improvement over that clown Jackson who started against Idaho.

a freshman quarterback at utah st. on the road against a team who is ready to play does not scare the least bit. I might even add a joint.

I'm with ya. I was thinking about this on my way into work this morning. SJSU was a 1-1/2 point dog @ home to SDSU and crushed 'em 31-10. Who would of thought SJSU would be a 14 pt fav over anybody, even Utah St. There's a reason why this line is @ 14. It's back down to earth for the Aggies as SDSU rolls up the score.

Before the last drive against Fresno, Riley had completed only 3 passes in the game. Maybe and improvement over Jackson, maybe not. Won't matter here. San Jose too much talent.

First to admit this is a complete homer play for me, so take it FWIW.

I was at the Fresno game last week and whether or not Fresno is horrible this year, this was the first time this season USU looked like a team. The real kicker was the defense. Fresno never got anything going. Their only TD was a blown coverage where the defender fell down, otherwise it would have probably only been FG for Fresno.

San Jose is playing very good this year, and you would think USU has to be ripe for a letdown, but Riley Nelson may be the real deal...he shouldn't be, as he is slow, short and has a weak arm, but that didn't stop him from being a parade all-american last year, as well as setting just about every offensive record in Utah HS football.

Again, complete homer play, and it will be small, but this will be the week to see whether or not Nelson and the defense for USU have a little something something.

good thread...

on sunday, I was hoping this line would come smaller than this.... didn't like to see the -14, but I do like the S.J. St. side....
Wasn't aware of the numbers posted above, but did know that they have been covering under the radar for quite a while....I'm sure I'll play it, just going to shop the books when I get to L.V. tommorrow and will hope for a good number...
good luck everyone......rb
