UTEP -12.5 over Columbia
I know.UTEP was 0-12 lyr on the road.Already 0-2 this yr.Thats 0-14.And they are double digit favorites.Who are they playing.The Columbia Lions of NYC.They are bad.With a 1-7 record they lost to Boston U by 29,Binghamton 28,Bucknell 14,Mt St Mary 9,Stoney Brook 9 and recently Lehigh by 16.Now I know UTEP is bad but no way worse then the above teams.
UTEP lost Smallwood one of their best rebounders.But 6'9 and 6'8 Victoriano and Tofi will control the bds and score vs the small Lions.Duran hit 6 3's the other nite vs Tenn St.Craig can shoot and frosh StAmant is a potential star.
Columbia has Bosewell as their leading scorer avg 8 pts.Behind him are McCoffey,Clemona and Murphy all avg 7,6,and 5 pts.
This team has no offense.They cannot shoot.[36%FG avg]and are 35-111 from the 3[31%]On top of that they cannot stop anyone on defense.When teams like I gave you above score 66,70,67,65,etc you are in trouble.
Miners are a bad team in the WAC.But against this weak Ivy team they will lose by over 15 pts.
North Car -15.5 over Iona
Jenkins is still out.He is Iona's only inside player.No way can they stay with the likes of 6'8 May and Williams.Iona gds are young and talented.But McCullough there star scored 0 pts in 33 minuts vs URI the other nite.Smith is tough but little wide ass Woffard will have trouble staying with super frosh of the Heels.McCants,Felton,Manuel,etc could run Iona right out of the gym.
Big time matchup problems for Iona.Fields is 6'8 but plays outside.The other nite the URI defense shut them down.Iona then went on a shooting exhibition.They shot 3-20 from the 3 and 19-56 from the field.
Wait until they see the NC defense.
Man-Hattan vs Manhattan +10.5
Tough game to capp.Lyr Manhattan blew the Johnnies out of the Garden 85-68.Of course the Jaspers talked a lot about that.So revenge is there tomr.Johnnies got killed by Wake's size last week.Well Manhattan doesn't have that size.But Johnnies do have Elijah at the pt.He sets up the offense.But this team loves those outside shots.Hattan I love.But his equal Flores are the 2 best players in NYC.Jaspers got upset by St Petes.
Manhattan is always second fiddle to the Johnnies.Most of the Manhattan kids were all recruited by the Johnnies but were passed over.So they play their hearts out in this game.A small lean to my fathers alma mater.But only a small one.Elijah Ingram is a great pt gd.Still a puppy but capable of taking over a game.

Going to NYC with the family tomr.Radio City,St Pats,5th Ave.Couldn't convince any of them to go to the Garden and see Manhattan-Johnnies at nite.
