Hudson Valley area.....NY
My 2 of 3 favorite teams going head to head...and I am sitting in row 1 right behind the UTSA coach this afternoon...this will be the highlight of the whole season for me...Have watched Tex St play 4 games already , they almost beat Houston and Oklahoma on the road...I watched them beat Prairie V,Jackson St,Abilene Christ, and Hartford ..other then PV they did struggled against each one..with 10 minutes left all 3 games were close..they play outstanding defense and run a great offense screening low and looking for Pearson popping out.. Harrell is only 5'9 but can penetrate vs anybody... post play has been disappointing with Terry being benched but Sule has replaced him inside and I think he might even start today...adding 6'9 string bean Small who can score from the inside and outside but likes the outside more.. they are not a good 3 pt team and Pearson their best player is only avg 16 pts a game... he is the pre-season POY in the Sun A 6'5 gd that can shoot, pentrate and rebound..they have won 4 in a row at home...there will be no crowd what so ever..its a shame the gym is 3/4 empty ...
UTSA...is the best 2-6 team in the country...under valued today big time...they lost 5 in a row and now have won 2 of last 3...they have the two best gd tandem in the country in Wallace and Jackson[ in scoring at least} last yr these two gds led the nation in duo back court scoring... Maybe top 5 or 6 overall..if you play the trends then do not play this game .. 1-8 ats ,1-5 ats on the road, shooting FG % ranking them 328th and defense FG 523.rd..so what the stats are saying is they can't shoot or play defense..
They were preseason 3rd to 5 in conf USA...so what has happened...and with Jivan Jackson there isn't a player in the country that has the ability to create a shot on his own...if you remember I raved about him 2 yrs ago here about how good he was..but a psycho on the court..totally out of control and had an argument with his coach on the bench.. The north Texas fans were all over him and he is talking back to them...the UTSA asst coaches were trying to calm him down..finally after about 5 minutes he went back in and hit a few 3's and kicked ass...he has matured now and is the pre-season POY of Conf USA...Wallace is the and other partner is 6'3 lefty who can
penetrate and shoot the eyes out of the hoop...so how can they be 2-6..well defense has been a problem..Frohem is there 6'5 power fd who is there blue collar player...they added Bior and 6'9 Barisic and 6'11 Germany in the front court. think Germany will cause some problems for the Bobcats..I have capped this game for over 2 weeks and of course with Tex winning at home and the Roadrunners losing my line has changed about 4 or 5 times... but last nite I saw it was at +8 for the Roadrunners and I had hem at +3 or 4.. I jumped on them I even think they could beat the Bobcats today...so please pass on this game since my last big play Oklahoma-North Texas was an airball
