UTSA -2 over Rice ****
Both teams avg close to 80 pts a game.. both have defensive issues..Both front court avg but Roadrunners have Jivan Jackson No 2 in the country last yr only avg 17 pts a game. And his partner Wallace only avg 11 pts. this year.. They were the No 1 gd tandem in the country scoring last yr. Rice plays uptempo and shoots 3's but think their defense is in trouble trying to contain Jivan and Wallace.. UTSA on the road ats is an amazing 6-20 in last 26 games. But think they get a road win over a Rice team that has trouble on defense.
Marist +1.5 over Niagara ***
Look out the Red Foxes are 5-1 and actually are ranked 30 th in the country on defense. It took Dunne 3 yrs after being at St Peter to finally gets his players and cultural to find Poughkeepsie. Dunne could go to any mall find 5 shoppers and in 2 weeks these kids would be playing shut down defense. Offense is another story. But they swept Manhattan and this game was recently just thrown at them . It was Niagara last yr that sent the Foxes home in their last game. Foxes have 5 starters back and tranfser and 6'7 Enoh . Cubbage the 6'4 pt gd should make 1st team all MAAC. He was hurt for awhile but think he is playing today. Purple have Hammonds as there best player and the kid from Lymone Nuwundi.But Dunne has his kids focused and are playing at home.
St Peter -4.5 over Canisius **
Peter is the better team and Griffs already got smoked by the other New Jersey 2 times this week { Monmouth} Its tough taking that bus all the way back to Buffalo 0-4.. And they are not stopping at Jersey's Mike for dinner.
La-Laf -3 over Texas St ***
UTA +4 over Ark St ***
