I had over 27.5 in second half. locker gets an unsportsman like penalty on his score and makes the extra point 35 yarder. BLOCKED. Of course. lose my bet by one and they lose by one.

He didnt deserve a penalty there. The ref did it to you, not the QB

He really didn't do much IMO. He jumped up and kinda flipped the ball in the air as he was running to celebrate with his teammates. For the refs to call a flag in that situation is almost comical. There were numerous late hits by BYU today that the refs chose to swallow the whistle on. I'm not excusing the missed XP. A 35-yarder should be made. But they never should have been put in that spot.

Sorry about your loss though. That is a very crappy way to lose a bet.

If college kids aren't allowed to get excited after scoring a td with 4 seconds to go, with their teammates, then there really is no fun in sports anymore.

Been said already but had to chime in. Was watching the game, over 27 second half so i am biased. When he scored and jumped up, i said to myself penalty and changed the channel.

That wasn't done to show up the other team or anything, it was excitement over a huge TD. I think the people who made that rule and the people who enforce it have never played any sort of sports on any level.

The kicker is how inconsistent it is. Notre Dame just scored, celebrated more than Wash did on the play we're talking about, and no penalty. This is too subjective and plays a prevelant role in the outcome of games.
