v-tech/BC...thurs

DOES anyone else think this line opening up at Vtech only minus 6 is very fishy....line has moved to Vtech minus 8.5 and probably will move some more....but where it opened has me wondering about this game...

BC traditionally plays miami tough at home...but Vtech has rolled against them lately ....St Pierre is not the type of QB that can take a team on his shoulders and that may be what he will be asked to do tonight....because it doesnt look like BC can run vs. this defense....the question however is will VTech's running game control this game because thier passing game doesnt scare many teams...if BC can stop that run for the better part of the game they may stick with them....but if BC has a lot of three and outs on offense then you have to think the defense will get worn out and Vtech's running game will start to pound them and begin to become more effective...i have watched all of Bc's games this year and thier pass defense aint good but they have stopped the run for the most part...

any thoughts on this game are appreciated....cooz

sure is suspicious openeing at 6. Boston College was in that game at Miami Florida trailing 10 - 6 halftime. Then they did themselves in.

B.C. had 3 turnovers... one was a two yard fumble return for a Miami TD.

Tough game in my opinion to cap BC I am sure would like to redeem themselves from the Miami game and they did look good for most of the game as we know score was not as close as game really was. Va Tech on the other hand has looked great I live in Syracuse so I get alot of info on them, Personally I will pass this game and take the Northwestern +16, this line is to high IMO and they can move the ball, played well against a much better Ohio State team.

I can only beleive that because the game is on national TV on a Thursday night and at home for BC was this line only -6 to start. BC plays well against most teams and have an excellent revenge record, except against V-Tech!
I hate V-Tech and like BC but my money goes on V-Tech tonight as they have owned this matchup for at least the last 5 years winning and covering in all of them I believe. Someone may want to verify that but I know they have pretty much owned BC for a while. Even though my heart says BC, my money says V-Tech minus the points.:shrug:

Va Tech is the play here no fishiness in the line it is moving because Va Tech is outright better.

BC is a well-coached team that always comes to play, but they are simply outmatched here. Va Tech is that damm good. Their defense is dominant and you know there special teams will make some plays.

I see the game going like this, BC may be able to get a push up front from their D line, forcing Tech to mix it up on offense, throw screen passes, run to the outside, or just look to throw more in general. BC's pass defense is piss poor and I think Tech knows this and will look to open it up more on O. As far as BC I can?t see them being able to move the ball at all.

Tech is the 2nd best team in the land in my humble opinion. They win this one easily.

as I posted earlier, BC is undefeated at home last 3 years other than 2 close calls with canes ... maybe that's why they are getting respect ... eprsonally, I neevr saw 6, first line i saw on sunday was 7 ... I got Hokies -2 five weeks ago, and am contemplating a small middle with a lil action on BC esp. if it goes to 10 ...

I hesistate to go too high with the Hokies because of Beamer's willingness to put the game in the hands of the defense. Perhaps a good play would be to go the hokies for the 1st half. When the game is late and perhaps within or close to the spread, Beamer and the Hokies seem to prefer 4 downs and out rather than risk kicking FGs in opponents territory. It makes sound football sense because of the strength of the defense, but makes it hard to cover. I could envision a situation where the Hokies are up 16 pts late in the game. They drive to the BC 25 yd line, but run the ball four times and turn the ball over rather than kick a FG. Then BC scores a TD and goes for 2 and covers the spread, even though they had little to no chance of really being in the game. Stuff like that happened for the 2nd half lines against LSU but Hokie backers were fortunate because of the blocked punt and safety.
