Vacation - Ft Lauderdale/Orlando/Bahamas - Places to go advice

Going on a vacation in the next month to FLorday Ft Lauderde and Orlando. Also a 3 day cruise to the Bajamas - Nassa, I think it is.

Has anyone been there latley. Any must do, or must see things. I wont have a lot of money when I go on vacation a few thousand, so any advice on where to go and what to see while I am in the area would help so I can get things planned.

Ramada, thats'it! I had forgotten the name but there you go! You hadnt been scam but you will have to do one TS tour during your trip. My only suggestion there is to nod and say yes yes but in the end DONT BUY ANYTHING REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE BUYER IS TELLING YOU!!! TS isnt for everybody. Buying from the developer is what they will try to do. DONT DO IT!!! You will find the same place as the one you will tour for much cheaper on resale so if you like the place, takes notes and go find it on reale market. You will thank me later! :SIB

The cruise is on a cheap boat (according to my wife and i) but the stop in the Bahamas was great!!! We had a blast doing snorkeling and the island where you will stop is great! Unfortunately, the day we stopped in Nasseau was a national day of something and everything was close :shrug: It looked like a nice place to shop around anyhow... The only place open was the duty free liquor store so....

All in all we liked our vacation but learned we could have get it for cheaper. We discovered the TS industry because of that trip and made the mistake to buy from the developper while we were there (dont do the same mistake!) Anyhow, we learned from our mistakes and bought 2 more TS on resale since and really enjoy our vacation with the kids! Have fun and at Universal Studios, ask to upgrade your tickets for fast passes, you wont regret it!

if your port of call is nassau, there is only one thing to do - get a taxi to Atlantis resort on paradise island. from the port in nassau you can see the resort - it's a five minute cab ride over a bridge to paradise island. check with the cruiseline - you may need to purchase a day pass to get in.

you can see what's there by going to their website. i took the misses and my 7 yr old for a week in december - we never left the resort. it is amazing - right on the beach, about 7 different swimming pools, tons of water slides. they also have underwater aquariums throughout the resort.
inside is a nice casino with table games and a sportsbook - great restaurants. pricey, but a great place.

nassau itself is a dump of a town with some shopping, and the "famous" straw market, but you can walk through there in ten minutes and see all you need to. wouldn't waste my time in nassau proper. i would spend it all at Atlantis.

Atlantis is a nice place that i will be visiting in exchange from my resort next year! :00hour Better to get an exchange than "owning" there as it is pretty $$$ Maintenance fees are around 2K for 1 week and renting is 3-4K for a week. That is the nice part of the TS, the exchange... :00hour
