After rain, sleet and snow in Nashville this week, Vanderbilt and North Carolina State are preparing for poor field conditions at LP Field for Monday?s Music City Bowl.

The Titans will face the Jacksonville Jaguars at noon today on the same playing surface that will be used for the bowl game, giving the field crew less than 20 hours before Monday?s 11 a.m. kickoff.

Ticket sales: Music City Bowl President Scott Ramsey said ticket sales are at about 55,000. Vanderbilt sold 18,000, which school officials said likely will be its final number because any future sales are expected to be walk-up traffic Monday.

N.C. State sold 8,000 of its 10,000-ticket allotment and then sold its remaining 2,000 lower-bowl and club seats to Vanderbilt. Those 2,000 tickets were part of Vanderbilt?s sales total.
