What is going on with this line? Early on, it was Va Tech -1. It has been steadily moving towards UNC ever since. Today, I checked and it is now UNC -3. I haven't heard anything to explain this, and I can't imagine that this is the result of a trickle, over 4 days, of sharp money - surely if the sharps thought it should be -3, they would have hammered the line on Sunday all at once. Does anyone have any idea what is happening?

I'm sure you must be right but why would the "public money" be acting so extremely differently than the linemakers expected? In particular, can you imagine the number of 1,2,3 or even 4 point middles that books are going to have to carry? If you are indeed correct, I guess my question becomes why is all of the "public money" coming in on UNC? In fact, why is there so much interest in this game at all? There can't be that many UNC nuts out there that have been waiting all of these years and NOW finally are going to bet.

Probably because of the whooping UNC gave Rutgers at Rutgers. It was a Thursday night game and I'm sure alot of people tuned into and seen how good UNC looked.

I think that's the key. I expected this line to be UNC +3 and was going to jump on it. With the opening line and the current movement this is a game I'll no longer touch. Not enough movement to go the other way, but I'm suprised to see UNC as the chalk pick.
