the land of confusion
Australia v England day-nighter@ the SCG Friday 13th 1st One Day International

First game of the One Day Series kicks off this afternoon in Sydney.
I'm off Lehmann who has cost me twice recently versus Waugh. Taking this Irani character (most runs) v Lehmann @$2.10
No other value as most of the Aussies are matched up with weak pommy players at too short odds.

Player Performances - 1pt per run, 10 pts per catch, 25 per stumping

A Gilchrist -> 50 and Over @ $1.83. >Tell me he doesn't score 30 runs and take at least two catches!!!

G McGrath -> 40 and Over @ $1.83. (Swap the 25pt stumping for 20pt per wicket) > He'll take 3 wickets and bring home the bacon!!

and last but by no means least...

My main man 'SUPER BEV'
Bevan -> 30 and Over @ $1.83. >Disputably (not by me!) the best One Day Player going around... to stroll in for an easy 30+ runs to keep that OD average up where it belongs. (put him back in the Test Team I keeps tellun' 'em!!! :D )

All for a unit each @Bet365.

Game one.

Poms off to a surprisingly aggressive start, giving the Aussies a bit of a scare before the inevitable batting collapse to finish on a respectable 251 runs. Aussies come out swinging from the outset and cruise to a comfortable 7 wicket victory.
This takes England's touring scoreline to 0 wins -12 losses

Plays went 1-3 with Irani going for a duck and Lehmann finally standing up with the bat (and ball). Gilchrist making a quick 50 odd for the win. McGrath having a rare wicketless match and Bevan getting pushed down the order in favour of Lehmann and not requiring to pad up. All up a -2.17 Unit loss but still an entertaining game to watch.

Game two on Sunday in Melbourne.
