delaware is having major shooting problems this year. they are next to last in the caa @ 40.2% and haven't shot over 40% in their last nine games. last five are even worse, averaging 34.2% from the floor. vcu is among the nation's leaders in fg defense, allowing 37.5% on the year. rams on a roll winning/covering last four and are in a position to challenge for the caa title. vcu beat delaware by 11 two weeks ago in richmond without big man josh clark and leading scorer willie taylor, who were both suspended for that game. rams getting a few points in a situation where they are likely to win outright.
i'll also go with my wolfpack tonight laying the small number to the deacons. while wake has some strong frontcourt players wolfpack is much more talented and quick at the guards which is where it all begins. state shoots and defends the trey better than wake and, as against most teams, state has a decided advantage at the free throw line and more depth on the bench. home crowd has really gotten behind the pack this year and should be a factor in this game. i say pack by around 8 or 9.
