Headed to vegas for the first time this weekend and I need some "expert" advice. So here are a couple of questions for you.

1) Will I be able to find computer access anywhere? I will be staying on the strip. Because I dont think I can stand being away from this place for four days.

2) Where is a good place to play Low-Limit hold-em. Such as 4-8 or 3-6.

3) Where can I find the most favorable blackjack games. Such as dealer standing on soft 17, Double down any time including split pairs, and surender?

Maybe I am dreaming on some of this stuff but I honestly dont know so any imput would be very usefull.

ben,

you said "computer access", but i am assuming you mean "internet access"? if you want internet access on the strip the only hotel i can think of off the top of my head is the aladdin...the hard rock (just off the strip) also has internet access through the tv in the rooms.

low limit hold 'em on the strip was hard to find last year when i was there...the only one i found was at the mirage (3-6). was planning to play at the venetian, but they 86'd their card room. also, try mandalay bay and (just off strip) the palms.

good luck

The Hilton has a room with computers (so you don't have to lug your lap top) that lets you access internet. I think it is about $20 per hour. Considering the damage you can do in an hour playing, the price is cheaper than it looks.

Best places in Vegas!!!

Best places in Vegas!!!

I go there every year for a pro-am golf tournament and have stayed in most all of the nice casinos.Fletcher lives there so he will be the expert on this topic. As far as hold em...I enjoyed Mandalay Bay.It also has a first class sportsbook. It has like a 60ft Tv in the middle of it.Other good sportsbook are MGM and The Venetian.Stay away from Rio and Harrahs.Terrible sportsbooks. But Rio has a bar on the 51st floor that overlooks the strip. Its awesome. And if you like rollercoaster try NewYork,NewYork and the strastosphere. You better not be afraid of heights cause the rollercoaster is 1750ft in the air.If your going for holdem and a great sportsbook I recommend Mandalay Bay.But the best card game is in the old vegas at Horseshoe.Fletcher correct me if Im incorrect.Have fun in Vegas.I cant wait till Nov5-10 when I hit the town running. If you play golf and are a decent golfer...I totally recommend Rio Secco.I saw Tiger Woods with his coach Butch Harmon there last year on his private driving range.Other great course are...Badlands and Reflection Bay.But beware these all cost $200 and up.But there worth it for one round.

if you are on strip i like stardust, mandalay bay is ok way to many people but very nice. imperial palace is old but will have lot of room and seating.
hilton or aladdin is the only 2 i know that have pc's in room.

best ncaa viewing by lvrj 4 stright years sunset station,28 big screens up in the air and 2 huge screens . 12 windows for hoops and good food and free drinks. but it is off strip in henderson.

blackjack i like playing at las vegas club downtown on freemont, and strip boardwalk casino dive but soft dealers and friendly.
