It is a long way away from the strip...but a nice place. I liked the pool there:SIB

South of Madalay Bay between there and the M. We are going to stay there, for the first time in Sept. From reading, the slots are loose (for the wife) the resturants decent and the rooms upgraded.

We will have a car which makes the decision much easier. I haven't read anything about them having a shuttle.

Good to hear Azbob! :0074 As a reminder, if you call Southpointe in advance they have a personal shuttle that will take you from the airport to the hotel. 20 minute ride, save $25. They will also take you back to the airport. Reserve seating so call ahead for BOTH transfers. :0074

Has any one on MJ's stayed at SouthPoint--looks interesting. How's the sportsbook etc. About 15 hours left on their sale--the webpage makes it look like a great place. Any of the Nevada/Vegas guys have any info? Thanks

I have never stayed in any of their rooms but have been there more then once.

I really liked their pool.

Sportsbook was fine, not huge, but not small.

Good for comps because they are so "out of the way".

As I said, I have never stayed over-night, so can't comment on that, but for what its worth, I liked the place. I think the only major downfall is that it is "out of the way".

Also.....not sure if this applies to you or not, but the Sportsbook does take some large bets on "smaller sports". Rare for a Vegas book to do that.

I've stayed there and the rooms are great. Craps was awesome thanks to the MJ crew.

No complaints what so ever.
