With the opening line put up at 7, bet down to 5 in some spot's,meaning Jet action,the bet back up to 6 1/2 at game time,meaning Raider action,then the game falling 6, they took a beating. To top it off for them, we watched the half=time line start at 4 then move to 6 ,showing huge Raider half-time play. The books got murdered tonight BIG-TIME :kiss:

:shrug: Can't we all just get along! The guy from the Boston Herald was saying it opened at 7.5, got hit, and moved down. That's my only source that it opened at 7.5, but he seems to have his finger on the pulse. I assumed he meant that's the line that LVSC put out.
I never saw a 5.5, but I saw plenty of 6's. I was thinking the same thing as bird. The books probably took a hit last night.

BTW, I am not familiar with the way Don Best works, but I went there to "check the numbers", and everything I saw, showed the opening number THEY had at seven, but every book they showed had 6' or six, and they never saw higher than 6', or lower than six. So, from what I could see, there was no 'middle' oportunity.
As I said, I have never navigated that site, and maybe didn't look in the same spots as bird did, but I am pretty sure that I did.
Now, these were closing lines for each day of the week, so perhaps the numbers did fluctuate the way he claims.......I don't know.
I do know that this is about the silliest thing to have a pissing match over! The bottom line is NOT whether the books lost money, rather if YOU won money.

Hey guys, If Mr. Senor Capper hadn't edited HIS comments,I think you would be able to see how this got out of hand.I was trying to bring something positve to the forum. FYI, you can go to the Don Best site, sign up for the free Island Express service,and get the opening numbers,and the closing numbers to about 10 different sportsbooks. Mr. Capper shows his ignorance by stating "some guy named Best". I think if you guy's would do your own research,you will find his line service is probably the most respected in the country. All the sports monitior's use his number's when grading handicapper's records. The line in the first column is the opening number, the following numbers are the closing lines at various books.I'm speaking of the free service. If you choose to pay,you can watch lines fluctuate throughout the week. I'm not trying to tout a line service,and for the most part Madjacks is doing an awesome job with the line service he's promoting.I was simply making an observation about last night's game.A big game.A monday nighter, which gets more action 10 fold to every other game throughout the week. I have been doing this a long time,and you won't see Vegas middled very often.I thought it was news worthy. I apologize to the forum for starting something that has obviously got out of hand.I may have over-reacted to Capper, but I felt I was being attacked by him,and I knew he was wrong.I'm here to bring some positive info. when I can,not be talked down to by someone.I think we should all check our sources before we just go off and attack another poster.
