Headed out in a couple weeks with girlfriend and she booked a place at some resort not to far from the strip. Is it easier to rent a car or use uber. I haven't been out in a few years and heard casinos are starting to charge for parking. Never used uber so not sure how hay the rate difference is. Thanks!

Unless you are planning leaving Vegas, there really is no need for a rental car. With shuttle busses and city busses I see no need for it.

Yes, use Uber or Lyft which is even better imho. Have both downloaded and ready bc sometimes one will have a surge fee and the other will not.

Do not use the public transportation unless you want a homeless person trying to sit in your lap or unless you like being begged by everybody on the bus. No thanks. There will be a cab line at all the strip casinos at your disposal as well, but I can't stand the Las Vegas long-hauling jerk cabbies. I try to never use them. Have fun!

LIFETIME BAN for suggesting the fucking bus!

I have probably used a bus in Vegas about 90 times, never had a problem, and super cheap transportation on top of that.

Not all of us have our own chauffeurs and helicopters.

Staying at Tahiti Resort. Never stayed anywhere in Vegas other than a casino. Anyone ever stayed there? Definitely not the ideal situation but too late now.

Tahiti is way down the strip past every thing u need a car!!!!! One of my clients had 6 weeks of timeshare there its probably even too far to walk to Southpoint or M Resor t if i recall. .I am not going to waste a vacation waiting for a fucking Bus a Cab or Uber. There is not a line of cabs when u get away from a casino. Rent the cheapest car u can get and when u get to the rental counter Tell them its not acceptable and get a Lincoln a Caddy or whetever floats your boat. They usually just tell me to go out in the lot and pick what i want.

Get a Car !!!!

Get a Car !!!!

Fer the hell of it i checked Car Rentals and week in Vegas picked up at airport is $19 per day U really believe 3 4 trips are gonna be less than that and most likely u will do many more. Vegas used to have cheapest rentals on da planet. My rental in San Juan was a $1000/month.

We stayed at Westgate. By far the best Sportsbook in Vegas. Maybe anywhere in the world for that matter. The parking is free and we got an Uber for trips to the strip. $5 and they were out front in less than 5 mins each time. There are a million Uber drivers running around Vegas.

Why not the monorail? I love that thing.

Tahiti Village?

Hammer, the problem with a car is u have to pay to park so many places. Otherwise, that's definitely the route to take. I still suggest Uber/Lyft from Tahiti Village. Good luck!

Why not just cancel your stay there and get something better?

Girlfriend's brother and his family are also going and didn't want to stay on the strip with their two small kids. They're hitting all the tours with kids and then we're headed to Cali for a few days. I'm not doing the tours so just trying to figure out best way to get around. Looks like UBER for me. Thanks for those who replied!

You'll be 2 miles from the strip. Uber is the way to go for sure. Or walk. Have fun!
