but me and a friend are planing a vegas mini trip soon. It's quite cheap stay a tuesday to friday. We have never been there and my questions are:

1.) is it worth going this time of yr midweek (feb 23-26th)

2.) we are deciding between wynn and luxor. wynn only $50 more total. whats the best choice for us (both mid-twenties, single, not a whole bunch of cash)
we are open to other suggestions.

3.) is there any affordable way to play golf while there? if no golf what else could we do during the day besides gamble?

4.) Night-life..any good places where you don't have to throw around money to have a good time but at the same time not a trashy scene?

5.) Does anyone have any connection with hotels or golf for a fellow madjacker ?

All suggestions welcome and appreciated
Thanks

I stayed at the Venetian and it was awesome. The rooms are excellent and spaceous.

Me and my wife went during the week and enjoyed it. Less of a crowd then the weekends. I do not know about this time of year.

I depends on what you are going to do as well. We didn't gamble much mostly went to shows and shopped. I never went to any nightclubs. Not my thing while I am in Vegas. Partied 24/7 though.

At your age would not be staying at the Wynn unless your going to try and sell yourself for cash to old rich women. Always worth your time to come to Vegas, mid-week is fine not like you can tell if a few 1000's people are missing it is always busy compaird to 99% of any other city.

If you can't find clubs you like you have to be h.keller's twin.

Golf cost more this time of the year but not as much as march/april/may can get on great course for less then 100 and more then 40 you just have to see what fits, or nice for 35-45 nicer then most places country club courses.

You drink, then walk the strip people see it's the best, hell don't need to gamble much that is wasting money, tons of shit to do its vegas.

I caddie at the Wynn but cannot get you on the course. They are just too strict about that. BUT I can get you 30% off a Room rate at wynn and 20% off food.

For Golf I would look at playing Legacy in Henderson. Shouldnt cost you anymore than 50 if you look at golfnow.com. Rio Secco is also another course to look at.

Let me know if you got anymore questions

but me and a friend are planing a vegas mini trip soon. It's quite cheap stay a tuesday to friday. We have never been there and my questions are:

1.) is it worth going this time of yr midweek (feb 23-26th) There is never a bad time to go to Vegas.
2.) we are deciding between wynn and luxor. wynn only $50 more total. whats the best choice for us (both mid-twenties, single, not a whole bunch of cash)
we are open to other suggestions. I always stay around the Luxor/MGM/NYNY area as easiest to walk to areas. Like them all. I think Luxor is the least crowded of them.

3.) is there any affordable way to play golf while there? if no golf what else could we do during the day besides gamble? Not sure during the week might be affordable.
If you can't golf then Fastlap is right off the strip behind NYNY.

These indoor go karts haul ass and they make you wear a neckbrace and helmet but damn fun and tiring. They give you a lap by lap breakdown for the race. Pretty cool and maybe I am heading towards 40 but I was beatdown and tired after 1 10 minute race.

4.) Night-life..any good places where you don't have to throw around money to have a good time but at the same time not a trashy scene? I forget how much it cost to go to the roof of the RIO(not much $10 or so). Cool spot at night with good crowd and nice bar. Also a pretty cool Pub in NYNY.

5.) Does anyone have any connection with hotels or golf for a fellow madjacker ? I used to at Planet Hollywood but he is gone right now or I would have tried for a discount for you. He was in a show that is currently dark.
All suggestions welcome and appreciated
Thanks

Hope that helps some.

Also when you check in tell them you are on your honeymoon and ask if they offer any discount rates or upgrades for it?
Works for me everytime as a room upgrade with same rates as lower room if they are not booked which they will not be in a mid week of Feb.

Of course the wife is next to me when I do this and that helps.
Having another dude next to you could hinder it unless you play the part right. :142smilie

do not stay at the luxor!

I stayed there 2008 weeked after Tureky day, got a corner jacuzzi suite and thought it was a hole! Just my opinion however!

I did like Treasure Island and the Monte Carlo however. I also own a time share that could be rented if available but it is off the strip by about 6 miles. Near the South Point Hotel and Casino. 6 miles from the Luxor off of Las Vegas Blvd.

I have not stayed at Luxor in years and thought it was kind of like a high rise Days Inn at best.
MGM had very nice rooms for a hotel that has been around for a while.Same goes with NYNY.
