Take it slow and easy . Seen lots of people 'tap out 'the first night.
Don't take all your funds out with you the first day. If your going for 3 days, and this is your Maiden trip, cut your $$$ into 3 piles and plan on using ONLY ONE PILE each day. Put the other $$ in the safety deposit box,it is something I did for years. If you have it ALL in your pocket, it is really easy to just keep reaching in ,and if you get on a bad run, you could run out of cash the first night and RUIN your holiday..MONEY MANAGEMENT !!!!!!!!!!!!
good luck and have FUN....Spanky....

Agree 110% with spanky2. I just returned from 4 days in Las Vegas and I had a limit as to how much I could lose each day. Money Management is the key. Had some good streaks but most of my luck was bad. Still, by having a pre-set limit, had a great time and I still have some money in my pocket. This is good advice on how to wager. If you need additional info(Hotels, Transportation, etc.) will be happy to help. Just reply with any questions. Good Luck Birdmann33 and have a great time. Nothing like your first trip to Vegas.;)

If your going to just gamble while there then spanky hit it on the head .. But i think youll be in awe of all the sights so alot of walking the building appear to be right there but ther a loooong way away (laughing).. Go to lasvegas .com eveything to do on there ...Good luck just remember youll be back there so dont try to do everything .. But have fun during the day gamble at night thats my advice .Nascar Cafe alot of fun .. Hard Rock Cafe best poolside atmosphere ... way more to vegas then being stuck inside, have fun and do what was said above limit your play to a number win and lose number both are very importent, don't want to give back what you take.

enjoy the outside best time of the year to be here 80's sunny and nice blue skys. and on the inside remember there is no rule that says you can't take a break or change tables if cards are bad for a few hands move to a better deck, you will find one that is more friendly watch a few games at each table to see how the cards are coming out if you are playing black jack anything else i don't play if its not sports.

don't let gambling run your trip you run the gambling and will have a good time that way. and stay away from ATM MONSTERS:nono:

Great advice about the ATM, Fletch. People totally lose the concept of the value of a dollar out in Las Vegas.

May have to put this little trip on the back burner if we are going to spend around 500 on airfare before any hotel, food, gambling....ect? Thanks for the help! Two years ago I sent my in-laws to vegas for 380 combined for air, hotel?? I know there has to be some deals out there??

Gentleman,

Just to tell you what a great site this is: I went to Las Vegas.com and did not see imperil palace and came back here and Fletcher had already put all the information up on great places to stay! WOW I can not tell you how greatful I am to the help from people that I feel I know, because I have followed them over the last couple of years, BUT they do not even know who I am

along with flether and other's help, check out ATA for your flight. They are charter taking off from HHH Terminal, always one of the better prices.

ATA: American Trans Air

WOW again..........Hotels are not hurting this time of year in vegas. I am able to get a great rate for Thursday night the 4th but the 5th of April is too much:

2 nights Thursday and Friday

Flamingo: 380+tax
Harrahs: 230+tax
Saharahs: 161+tax
IP: SOLD OUT ON FRIDAY
Terr: 178+tax

Dog Face and Fletch thanks for the airline advise. HHH would be the right choice. I was trying to find a late evening flight on the 4th and then a redeye flight on the 6th/7th (Sat night Sun Morning) 1:00 am

I am going to keep looking for a deal somewhere on this computer there has to be one somewhere.

I am a cheap bastard and can not see spending a fortune on a little trip.

A thursday and friday combo is tough since hotels like to sell them in a friday/saturday combo. That being said, it is a small place and probably out of luck but Barbary Coast is a nice place with great location. Plus Golden Nugget downtown. I've stayed at those 2 the most aside from Harrahs. Good luck and don't split those 10s in blackjack. :D
