We are running out of time here in Utah and we haven't seen all of the sites yet so headed to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam this weekend. I talked the wife into staying in Vegas since it is a "central" point. We drive down Wednesday night and hit the Canyon on Thursday. Hoover Dam is Friday and we will go to the buffet that night with my aunt and uncle who live there. I am sure it will be downtown and that night will be my one and only night to roll dice. :0corn

The whole family is going and for me that is the wife, 8 yr old, 7 yr old, 5 yr old, and 2 yr old. We are staying at the Marriott so I don't have to worry about silly stuff with the kids.

Any great 2-3 hour things I can do with the kids? I heard the M&M factory is cool. Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

And yes I will look out for the blue shirt :0008

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Bowling? Lake Mead..for kids of all ages...

Bowling? Lake Mead..for kids of all ages...

Some casinos...Redrock, Orleans, Goldcoast come to mind...many have state of the art Movie theaters with huge video game room next door.

Lake Mead....take a bunch of loafs of bread (I went thru 8 in a half hour) and feed the soaring gulls. The thousands of Koi and Stripers so big, the ducks were climbing on their backs for bread..honestly...30 minutes from strip, hour for feeding and viewing first marina area...cost for carload...$10.00

Truly a blast for kids and young at heart.

Vegas tried that family fun destination....realized their error.

Did the West Rim of the Grand Canyon today. It was great. Weird dirt road getting there and windy as hell but one hell of a view.

Dinner tonight and Lake Mead / Hoover Dam tomorrow.
